Hello All, I have not been to bed yet since Thurs. :-( My Grandboy had to go to the hospital so I have been up all night. Soon as I get off of here I am going to sleep, probably most of the day! But, for those of you that are up and at em Have a Great Day! SueSue1212
Hello Again, We sure hope the little guy is alright. Dr. says he is. He is 10 months old now, he was a 5 1/2 week early boy. His Mom is on some pain meds and they transfered to him and he basically was stoned! My Daughter was really upset as we had asked two Dr.s and two Pharmacist and everyone told her he would be fine. His heart rate was 48 when she got him to me and we live an hour from the hospital. So, basically my car sprouted wings and away we went! He is home and resting in his Mama's arms. She has decided to not take her meds now. She has a herniated disk. of course L4-L5, siatica her she comes, she also is cursed with fibromyalgia (inherited no doubt from me). But, for now all is well and I am going to sleep...ZZZzzzz.
See you all very soon.
Firstly, weighed in today, down a couple of pounds - delighted with that.
Secondly, can anyone direct me to where the low-carb gardeners hang out? I saw a forum by that name and now I cannot find it again
Thirdly, a funny story - today I was out and had to get my lunch from a service station. I bought a chicken roll and some diet coke. I picked out the chicken and salad and fed the roll to the birds - the chicken was truly disgusting - after one month of eating healthy whole foods, I was turning up my nose at convenience food. The coke....well!....I don't really want to burden you with what that has done to my stomach...

Morning Blue and Chick! Glad your grandbaby is ok SueSue! Congrats on your weight loss Keetje!
Wow, I'm glad everyone is doing good. I'm not weighting again until next Monday. It's raining here and we are supposed to have thunderstorms this afternoon. I love storms so it's ok. It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend. I hope everyone has a good one!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, screaming "WOO HOO-What a ride"
Good day to everyone. Horror story about your little grandson there SueSue. Glad to know that he is home and better.
Feeling a little down. I am sixty in August and somehow no other age has hit me quite like this one. It is almost as if this is my last chance, that everything is down hill from here. I know I shouldn't feel like this and I apologise for doing so but I am just having a little feel sorry for myself moan.
Good Morning Roger, F4N, Sue, Chick, Keetji, Katherine, Cookie, and all those that check in. Roger, great to see you feeling back to your fantastic self F4N, So happy to hear you recieved you new book, happy reading! Sue, Glad to hear baby is home resting in moms arms. Chick, sweet dreams dear. Keetji, congrats on the pounds gone forever! Katherine, I enjoy a good storm myself. Cookie, aww sweetie, Look at it as being the healthiest times in your life. You are adding years to your life by living such a healthy lifestyle with Atkins. You and your DH both. Think about the healthier years you have to spend together, rather than "last chance", 60 isn't the end, it's only the beginning of many healthier years to come! It's a beautiful day here in Sherri-Land. Sun is shining and the birds are singing. I also am finally down under 230. Yep, 229 today and I couldn't be happier! Life is good. Wishing everyone a great Low Carb Friday. TTYL, Sherri

60?! - my assistant at work is 60 and thoroughly enjoying the fact he has just lost a stone on Atkins - says it has put a lot of spring back into his step. Do you have much to lose? perhaps it's the pounds making you feel a bit elderly. I know that my excess 100+ pounds have made me feel about 90 in the past. (my poor old legs have been giving out under the excess tonnage).
To paraphrase one of my favourite comics, Dara O'Briain - the young may be sexy and gorgeous - but when you are older you have cunning and CASH!

Good Afternoon CC'ers! Sue, what a stressful night you must've had. I'm glad to hear your grandbaby is home and doing well.
I'm looking forward to a little family get together tonight. We are celebrating Father's Day a few days early because it's the only time we could all get together.

The difference between try and triumph is just a little umph!
Keetje, I too have lost over a stone in weight and know that feeling of being able to walk so much easier. I totally agree my 18stones or over 250lbs does indeed make me feel older and slower. However, you are quite right we older gals know what it is all about. My mums favourite saying was "Nobody loves a fat girl, but oh how a fat girl can love"
