Finally broke my stall yesterday (ok, not an official stall...it was only 11 days, but I can whine if I want to ) and dropped to 212. I can just TASTE onederland!!

    Good Morning,
Just checking in for the day; so far I've walked 45 minutes, had a breakfast of 2 eggs fried in butter with a sun-dried tomato chicken sausgae link (which are FANTASTIC). I'm down 21 lbs from my highest weight and I'm feeling good. Hope you all have a great day!

Mornin' CC'ers... well actually afternoon. It's good to be back around the boards. I'm definitely feeling better the past few days. I still have my moments but the depression is gradually lifting. I honestly think I had post-traumatic stress disorder or maybe everyone goes through bouts of depression after a disabling bone break?? Anyway, I'm feeling much more like myself lately. Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday.

Congrats on those 21 pounds Happy! Chick, you'll be in Onederland in NO time!

Here's a little tip from Jillian Michaels I wanted to share with ya all.

Alcohol Is Not Your Weight-Loss Buddy
Whether it's cocktails on ladies' night out, a beer at the pub, or a glass of wine with a delicious gourmet meal, most of us enjoy a drink (or three!) every now and again. But remember what I've been teaching you: In addition to being aware of the foods that are good for you, it's important to know which ones are truly bad for you. And let's face it — alcohol is in the latter camp.

Alcohol can sabotage your weight-loss efforts. It's a simple carbohydrate and your body treats it as sugar when breaking it down. Alcohol also causes an increase in blood sugar and fat storage, and because it doesn't contain any fiber, it will also cause a sugar crash as well as an increased appetite for carbs.
If you choose to have a drink, avoid sugary cocktails, beer, and wine. Stick to clear alcohols like vodka and rum with calorie-free mixers a calorie-free mixer like club soda. And you can always drink it straight (or on the rocks).
It's also a good idea to eat something around the time you're going to be drinking. Try to have a meal that's high in protein, which will help curb the release of carbs from the alcohol and create more balance in your blood sugar levels. The meal will also serve to fill you up so you'll be less likely to make unhealthy food decisions or succumb to cravings when you're hungry and tipsy later. Hi CC'ers,

Keetje signing in just before going to bed.

Been having a bit of 'carb creep' over the past week or two, so am reining in and should hopefully feel the effects soon. Been feeling a bit tired and not sleeping as well as I did when I was being totally legal.

It's day 2 of reining in, so the energy boost should kick in soon!

Chick! I am so pleased about your 212 - and yes, onederland is now SO close for you. Keep up the great work!
