          *I no longer weigh myself regularly. Next weigh in will be at the beginning of November with a trainer to get an update on my body fat percentage.

                Good afternoon everyone !

                Wow, there are a lot of new faces around here.

                I'm back and ready to go. I've pretty much been absent from the board since I hurt my knee mid-June. The knee is better, but I haven't quite gotten back into the routine of exercising. I was successful in keeping my eating in check up until this last week. I spent the last week in Vancouver for work and ate off-plan pretty much the whole week. Today I started with a good breakfast and plan to re-do Induction for two weeks. I'm going hiking this afternoon, then grocery shopping, then coming back home to prepare some Atkins-friendly meals.

                    Sue, sorry to hear about the maigrane, feel better soon hon!
                    It's a beautiful day in the Great Northwest! It's laundry day for me today.
                    One of the things that I have found that has kept me on plan is to keep a personal food diary of everything I eat everyday. I've been doing this for over four years and it is the one thing that has kept me accountable. I would suggest that each and everyone of you get in the routine,(habbit) of doing this also.

                    Do the Work!
                    I love when I see people getting excited about doing the work that will help them reach their goals! Most people have no real concept of how strong they are or what their potential really is. My workouts are tough because I know you're strong enough to do them! (And of course, because they have to be to work!) I set out to kick your butt knowing that you'll only get stronger, and the stronger you get physically, the stronger you will become in every other way. Here's what one member has to say about doing my program's hard work:
                    "Six weeks ago, my Mixed Martial Arts class started with 22 people. Tonight it finished with 2. And guess what? I was one of them! A year ago, 6 months ago, **** 3 months ago, I would have been one of those people who walked out after the demo session because it was so hard, even though I paid for it. But I stuck out EVERY class. I did everything he asked of me. I killed myself each week. I never, not once, quit. I didn't give up, I didn't walk away, I didn't say 'That's too hard.' None of it. I was there each week and I did it. And not only did I do it until I was literally red in the face, but I survived. I'm still here to talk about it. I'm still breathing (not standing so much at the moment, but I'm still breathing, LOL). I was almost the last one standing (which terrified me... me and him in a room for an hour? gulp!) But the other girl ended up coming a few minutes late (thankfully!) So it was two girls who were the only two left standing at the end of this 6 week course. How awesome is that? I can't tell you how proud I am of myself for not quitting. Tonight I learned that if I put my mind into it, I can do it. Things are hard, it's tough, but it's worth it. 20 people are unable to say that they did what I did. 20 people can only say that they gave up because it got too hard. Not me. I was there even though it was hard. I was there BECAUSE it was hard. And I'm thankful for every minute of it. It made me stronger and it showed me that quitting isn't an option. Quitting doesn't get the results. Hard work and determination does. And I am not above bragging about my accomplishments. Because tonight I feel like I am on top of the world. As hard as the work out was, that really isn't what my proudest moment is right now. My proudest moment is that I used to be a quitter and now I can officially erase that word from my vocab and focus on being a winner. Woohoo!" –GGFan05
