  • Salt question

    I couldn't get any answers from any regulars when I asked this on the main forum, so I'm asking here.

    I never worried about my salt intake much because, I figured if I retained water, eventually it is released from my body. I got thinking, does it interefere with "actual" weight loss? Does it keep your body from losing fat while you are retaining water?

    I've never had salt stall me....yeah, you may retain water, but as long as your drinking enough water so your body has plenty for flushing out your system, it shouldn't be an issue. As Atkineers, we don't consume a lot of processed foods....the biggest source of salt, so unless you have blood pressure issues, I wouldn't worry about it.
