  • Help Century Club,

I have basically stayed on Induction for 2 extra days, much to my surprise I have gained .5 lb each day So today I swam for 20 minutes. Hoping to stall off any more gain. What am I doing wrong?

    Re: Help Century Club,

What are you eating has it changed at all ?

When I was having the same issues I found that removing Sour Cream from my Taco Salads and reducing cheese did the trick.

Maybe post what your eating each day Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and snacks writing it down might make you realize where some hidden carbs or sugars may be lurking.

        Hey KC622960,
Something that I have been doing that really helps me a lot is weighing every day; same time; same routine each morning. Then I started an Excel spreadsheet where I log in each day's weight with a column set aside for total loss and an area for gain; as well as highlighting when I plateau a little. What this has enabled me to do is see a definite pattern to my weight loss. I can acutally tell when I will start losing, gaining and plateauing; I"ve only been observing this for a month and a half now but this has really helped me not to overreact when I see the scales fluctuate a few ounces up here and there. I actually saw a doctor who was doing Atkins recommend this very strategy. What is does is keep you from getting discouraged by the fluctuations because you can see what your body is doing. Remember, take your measurements; that is crucial and a very good way to see the real results and as long as youi're in ketosis your body is burning fat, period! So, look up and keep up the good work you've already done.

          Re: Help Century Club,

          Hello KC,
KC, it is not unusual for you to lose a few pounds then gain .5 or even 2 pounds and then back down again. It's perfectly normal for our weight to fluctuate like that. It's our bodies natural rythm to weightloss. It happens to all of us. Just continue sticking to plan as usual. The weight will come off!
Also, it may be time for you to move onto Rung 1, more veggies. This will also accelerate the weightloss. I would give it a few more days of Extended Induction and see what happens.
Please continue to follow the plan 100%. If you would feel more comfortable by sharing your menu with us, we would be happy to see if there are any changes to be had.
I still feel that it's just YOUR natural rythm to weightloss though. Your body is getting ready to have a visit from the Whooshie Ferry.
          Sincerely, Sherri
