Good Morning CC'ers
HAPPY LABOR DAY!!!!! It's a bar-b-que day for us today.
Also laundry day and get my house in order. Nights have been cold here and my garden got a little frost night before last. I had to cover it last night. It's to early for frost!
Wishing everyone a great Low Carb Monday!

Stand up for Yourself
It's not always easy to confront people who are sabotaging your weight-loss efforts. Sometimes they'll listen to you and be able to change their behavior, but often their behavior has more to do with their own need for approval than with your need for support. No matter what their response, it's up to you to stay firm and hold your ground. At the end of the day, your health is your responsibility.
Key Relationships
We all have different emotional triggers — positive AND negative — when it comes to relationships in our lives. As you know, I consider these three key relationships crucial to your new, healthy lifestyle: a partner in crime, a role model, and a fan.
While it's wonderful if you can get this kind of support at home, sometimes that's not the easiest place to turn when you're making a major change. So many of my teammates have found the Message Boards to be an essential source of advice about their journey. Here is what one teammate had to say about the ups and downs of finding that support at home:
Love ya, Sherri

"It is hard sometimes. I don't really have support per say, but I don't have un-support or sabotage...I really got serious last November (omg, it's almost been a year!), and it has really become a way of life now. In the beginning it was really hard; although my husband still eats as he wants to, he does eat what I cook. Since we are on a budget, we can't really eat out very much so I don't have to worry about fast food much. BUT you gotta remember there is a whole lot of not-so-healthy food out there in the supermarkets as well...that has been my problem because my husband works in the grocery store and he always sees all the new yummies coming out. As we speak I am trying to ignore a new flavor of Oreos (my absolute fave cookie) that he brought home. OK, so I just ate one — had to try!
But one thing — the longer you do this, and the more it becomes a way of life, everyone adapts to you. You little by little, revamp your cooking so that you are substituting healthier ingredients, and you control your portions. As it progresses, it will rub off on others...at the very least, they will accept that you have made a commitment, and it will not be a big deal. Just hang in there...it's hard but the payoff is great! Keep the goal in mind!
