    Good morning everyone. Just checking in before I head out for a golf tournament.
    40 year old male 6' 3"

    What I know:
    1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
    2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
    3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
    4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

            Hiya ... checking in - hope you're all having a great day!
            I'm getting ready for doing another "cleansing" induction week - as I have fallen off again. I'm struggling again with this WOE and currently having zero support from my friends and co-workers. They all suggest I shall switch to another WOE or even joining Weight Watchers.... which I don't want. Results are great with Atkins.... however I'm frustrated and also disappointed with myself, that I can not commit to myself to work on a better and healthier me. Sigh.....

              Salima, one day at a time hon. You can do this! This is the best woe for your Glucose levels. Think about how healthy you're getting internally when doing the Atkins Plan. This will help you get in a good mind set to keep with it. Weightloss is only one of the great benifits of Atkins. When getting healthy internally the outside will reflect that.
              Jaybee, what type of sugery did you get? Wishing you a speedy recovery!

                  Good morning CCer's!

                  Salima, I have the same exact issue with unsupportive classmates and coworkers. In class yesterday we did Urinalysis (I'm going to school to be a lab tech.) And when I tested my urine I had a high amout of Ketones in it, which made me ecstatic, unfortunetly I got it from my instructors and classmates that that was a sign of my body going into starvation mode and yada yada yada. i told them it was due to my WOE and that I was actually pleased with the results. They laughed and said it doesn't really work. I plan to come to class today armed with a picture of me at 300+ lbs... just to flash it around and let them rethink it.

                    Well hello to everybody... its been a while since my last post here, I also left the WOE for several months, I also stop exercising, and now I have 9 lbs. So I start again tomorrow with a 266 lbs. in induction. I dont feel good, actually I feel terrible, and not only because I havent done what I was doing for the last months, but my body is suffering from all the carbs Im eating, but I have this crave for sugar and bread so big! I know what it is, and I will break the vicious circle tomorrow, it wont be a nice weekend but I know that the next one will be much better, specially when I weight myself :P

                    Hope to have your support like always, I really need it, promise to visit daily to charge myself with your words. I think that also made a diference, when I stop visiting here and being an active member I also started to find it easier to cheat... So support is necessary, I underestimated it.

                        @ Sherri ... thank you - you are so right! "One day at a time" - best way to put it. I shall use it like an affirmation.

                        @ Stephanie... thanks for sharing that! They will be amazed when they see that pic of you! Glad to know that there are others out here, who also lack support. It ain't easy.
