  • TGIF Roll Call Friday

    Good morning everyone, glad to see some faces back (mine included). We all know this WOE works, we just need to stick to together, get back on track and stay there. As we all know, we can't be perfect, so let's just take one day at time and continue to be there for each other.

    What I know:
    1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
    2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
    3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
    4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

      I feel amazing today... and even more so excited after the enormous sugar craving I had last night that I walked away from. I was so happy that I just walked away when all I really wanted was a PB and J sandwich.

      One day at a time, right? Tomorrow he scale and I get to fraternize. TOM is still here... and going on his second week of visitation =( Hopefully he doesn't mess things up too bad.

        One day at a time. It's what's happening today that's most important. You're building a strong foundation for a healthier tomorrow. For me, and going into my fifth year of Atkins. I can honestly say that I will never eat as I did at 374 pounds. Atkins changed my life. Yes, I do get off track, but I always get back to what I know is the healthiest woe there is, ATKINS! I'll never be that overweight again. Thanks to my strong foundation i've built with Atkins.
        Slow and steady wins the race!

          I totally understand what you mean. I feel that way right now, too. There was a time I would have hit a milestone then went out to dinner to celebrate by cheating ~ what sense does that make?

          TOM is hard for me - for some reason I get sweet crazy. I do give in to a PBJ bender on toast, only with my nutty LC bread (2g slice) and them some Simply Jif and SF Polaner all-fruit. It doesn't make me go out of ketosis or send me on a rampage.

            Hi guys .... well said Roger. Thanks for sharing Sherri. Good for you Stephanie to resist the craving. I like "one day at a time" as much as "I'm allergic to carbs - I break out in fat" ;-)
