Hello all,
I'm a STAC-er and originally set my goal weight on FitDay to just inside the healthy range at 145lbs; however, I made the mistake of mentioning that number to my fiance of 8 years.
Long story short, he is of the opinion that that weight is way too skinny and he would like me to only get down to 180lbs. He's one of those rare breed of men who has always found the short, fat girls to be sexy. (He's 6' and was thin as a whippet for most of his life. Go figure!) Nothing gets his salivary glands pumping more than "tig bitties" and a whole lotta "junk in the trunk".
So I reset my goal to 180, but I'm not sure I'm happy with myself for copping out like that. Granted I have a ways to go before I get down to 180, so for now I can bury this bone of contention in the backyard and let it finely age, but eventually I'm going to have to dig it up again.
I was wondering if any of you have had to deal with this type of situation and how you chose to deal with it. I have no doubt in my mind that he will always love me no matter what I weigh (he's not that shallow) and I don't worry about him leaving me for a chunkier chickie, but I have to admit to myself that I am afraid when I drop the weight he won't desire me as much. Right now our intimate life is very good, with plenty of affection and lots of those happy little O-things that send you to work with a smile on your face.
Have any of you purposefully set your goal weight significantly higher than what the charts tell you is "healthy" in order to still be attractive to your life long mate?
Thanks for the input,
~Petra~
