You know what I was thinking of today? All the bizarre dieting tricks I've ever tried. I bet you all have a few in your past, too. Here are mine. Caveat: None of them worked.
The DumDum Lollipop Diet: Eat a "normal, low-fat, well-balanced" diet, but buy a huge bag of those little lollipops called DumDums and whenever you feel the urge to cheat, stick one in your mouth. This is supposed to distract you from thinking about junkfood. It didn't.
The Rubberband Diet: Eat a "normal, low-fat, well-balanced" diet and keep a thick rubberband on your wrist. When you feel the urge to cheat, pull the rubberband as far back as you can and let it go. This is supposed to associate junk foods with pain. It didn't.
The Hot Sauce Diet: Eat a "normal, low-fat, well-balanced" diet, but be sure to drown it in Tabasco sauce and jalapeno juice. It's supposed speed up your metabolism and make overeating impossible due to severe mouth/throat pain. I wasn't able to stick to this one long enough to see if it did or didn't.

Oh my! Mine weren't such torture, just a stupid waste of money and time mostly. You know, diet pills, fat blocking pills, and such, and mostly, really low calorie-can't possibly stick with this for any length of time kind of diets. Or the exercise till you drop then eat a pizza diet.....that actually worked a bit, but the exercise became less and the pizza became more....

Hello Chick, Petra, Roger and all those that check in. Me too Bluebelt! True torture! I've learned a valuable lesson,"Our skin never forgets" I should know, I have enough extra to remind me each day. As Garfield would say "Diet is die-t without the T" Diet's always fail. That's why it's important to change bad habbits into good for a healthier "lifestyle" This is the first "diet" that has actually taught me how to do that. It's all about "lifestyle".
