Okay, I need to ask if anyone else ever started off slow on induction with not much loss but then it kicked in?

I'm busting my butt off, more active than I've been in years, even feeling better and getting stuff clean around the house, I feel great, BUT, I'm not losing, and yet again, went up 1 pound, I'm bouncing between this 266-268 and it's being a royal pain in the patooty!!!

Did anyone else experience this or did everyone just start dropping weight right away and then it slowed down?

    Hey Geogirl
Sorry to hear about your frustration. Did you happen to measure yourself? If not...do it now. Some people drop inches in the beginning then start dropping pounds.
Post your menu lets take a look?

      Re: argh

I don't have a measuring tape, I can tell by my clothes as I'm very accustomed to knowing the up and down weight and what it feels like in my clothing and no changes there.

Breakfast is usually 3-4 eggs with bacon bits (real bacon, not the fake stuff)

Mid-morning snack- pepperoni or sometimes those cheese bites, just misc. but induction approved on the list stuff- sometimes it's a hard boiled egg, etc.

Lunch: Tuna salad or egg salad

Dinner- Usually some type of beef or chicken with a lot of vegetables, I don't eat veggies during the day much so I normally get my carb intake during dinner.

If I need a snack at night- atkins shake or atkins chocolate bar- says it's good for all phases.

I did have jalapeno/cream cheese wrapped in bacon last night, and I did have some cheese yesterday, maybe just too much cheese stuff going on?

I dont know if you have tried www.Fitday.com but it is the BOMB! Its free registration and you can enter in your foods and find out how many hidden carbs they have. You can also target to keep your fats at 65% as it will graph it for you.Its really a great tool to double check yourself
I was shocked when I was having trouble and found out that I had eaten 44 grams of carbs when I thought I was well below.

Make sure you watch your veggies. Consuming too many carbs all at once could be keeping you from Ketosis. Could you possibly have your salad with lunch and maybe your one cup of acceptable veggies like Broccoli at dinner?

Drink at least 64 ounces of water a day, avoid all alcohol, diet sodas and keep your splenda down to 3 servings a day. These things can really stall you.

Careful with the cream cheese it does contain a bit of sugar if you read the ingredients. What are cheese bites? They sound yummy.

I have read many conflicting reports about the Atkins shakes. They do say Induction friendly but I have heard they have stalled people.

Some of my favorite snacks are:
Deviled eggs, Slices of roast beef rolled with a little mayo, Chicken salad, Tuna salad, Love my slice of cheddar. YUM!

The cheese bites- I didn't use the right word, they're just small blocks of cheddar cheese is all-

veggies- I have about 2 cups at night, it's not like 4-8 servers, lol.

I hate salad though, burned out on it, so the veggies I have will probably stay. Personally, I'm just wondering if it's that either I'm just kinda blocked up or what- gross, I know, but I haven't been very regular since starting. I'm used to having like nothing in that area due to 2 days of starving then a day of binging madness that I'd done for the last couple years, I don't know, maybe I'm just over-reacting. still giving it a couple more weeks to see how it goes, see if there's changes, just a little disheartened right now.

I would really get rid of the shake, a lot of people find that they stall them. I can't tell you for sure because I stay away from them for that reason. Other than that, your menu looks okay. Make sure you don't eat more than a few ounces of cheese though.
            Good luck!

okay, will hold off on the shakes and lower cheese amount (which is hard cuz I'm really addicted to it and it's hard to find something to snack on that's quick for me)
