Good afternoon Chick and fellow CCers!
Things are still going well for me. Today is day 17. I hope and pray that I stick with this WOL/WOE this time around. I did so well from the end of February through July and then was on and off again until almost a few weeks ago. It seems to be helping me not to be taking in any sweeteners. We'll see how long I can keep on track there
.

Kristine, I can so relate to what you went through.
Back in July I just came off of a 142 day sweetner fast (almost 5 months)and I had been off plan since.
Not a steady off plan, just got worse around the holidays. I'm just now trying to get my act together. So far, so good today. I want to go into the New Year detoxed and into ketosis.
Chick once told me that deprivation can lead to indulgence. I really believe that had something to do with my fall. Just be cautious and use your sweetner free as a tool for short term, just to get you over the hump of feeling back in control and maybe start introducing healthy swetners back into your woe. Just a suggestion dear. You know you better than anyone though.
I should of listened to Chick, otherwise maybe I wouldn't of experienced the rocky road I find myself coming out of.........Live and learn. It's all about the Journey. We take from it and learn from it. Knowlege is power. Always pushing forward.

Hiya everybody!
I hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend, so far.
Everything is going well here... staying on track and trying to keep busy since I can't get to the gym yet. I'm a little bummed that my weight has fluctuated a pound or so. I think my cheddar cheese "crackers" and salsa were a bit too salty and I've retained a bit of water. I've been noticing that if my foods/snacks are too salty, I won't lose any. So, I have to limit my hot dogs and cold cuts as well as aged cheeses to a minimum. In addition to that, I also noticed that I haven't been eating enough, so it's time to keep track of that too! On the plus side, I've increased my water intake to 3 liters!

Good morning
!
Today is day 18 for me. I feel great and am sailing towards ONEderland. In the last 18 days I've lost 14 pounds. I'm still one pound heavier than I was in June/July. The chatterbox in my head keeps reminding me that I could have been in ONEderland months ago if I hadn't fallen off the wagon. Oh well, there's no turning back the clock and at least I'm on the right track again and not still climbing my way back to 249 or higher!
41 pounds are gone from my body! 9 more pounds to ONEderland! 10 more pounds and I'm over halfway to my goal of 148! Gotta keep on truckin'...

BTW Sherri, have you tried the Sweet Perfection sweetener? It gives me absolutely no cravings, and makes Stevia much better....cuts out that aftertaste.

Morn'in Chick, No I havn't tried the sweet perfection. Who makes it and what is it made of?
LOL, yes, your DH should listen to you. Look what an awesome job you're doing. He could learn alot from you. Okay.....print that off and shove that in his face, LOL. Sherri said so

Today is day 2 sugarfree. Feeling stronger with each passing hour. I started a stat thread to keep me accountable and to track my progress.

Sweet Perfection is refined inulin.....fiber from chicory roots and mung beans. One full cup has 5 net carbs.....measures the same as sugar, they say, but I use about 75% cause I think it's really sweet. Most of the time, i use 1/4 of it, 1/4 of Erythritol and the balance in equivalent liquid Stevia. I get it from Netrition.com although I dunno who makes it....I removed it from the packaging and poured it into a glass jar
Oh.....and Chocoperfection bars are made with it.

I don't use the NOW brand of Stevia. I like the sweetleaf brand. The others, yes, although that is a new brand of erythritol at Netrition. I also use to buy it bulk at I think the name of the place was grainville? It's been a while.
