  • CC Weeked Roll Call 1/10/09 1/11/09

    IT'S THE WEEKEND!!!! Or is it the strongend? Think about that one for a few minutes! LOL! I hope everyone has a great couple of days and stays cheat free. Interesting thing happened to me this morning. I sat down at the computer with my breakfast and about one minute later my breakfast was in the floor. Had to recook my mushrooms so not a big deal. On the plus side, the floor in front of my desk is extra clean. I actually had to clean it for once. Have a GREAT DAY!!!!

    Good morning Daye and all who follow. Hope we all have a great weekend, and no else drops their breakfast, lol
    40 year old male 6' 3"

    What I know:
    1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
    2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
    3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
    4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

      Just checking in. I love the weekends. I am making another batch of jerky and frying some wings for two glorious days of football. The weekends are the easiest. No work and plenty of grazing to get 6 to 8 meals in and my house water is soooo much better than work water. I guess I've become a water snob.

        Good morning everyone!

        Hopefully everyone has an enjoyable, relaxing weekend. I'm about to start cleaning my house (not just the floor in front of my desk )! Blah! It's not fun, but I crank up the 80s music on AccuRadio which makes it a little better.

        Then I'm going to start preparing and parsing meals for Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs. My days are full morning (5am) until night (8-9pm) this week so I need to set myself up for eating success...just grab and go!

            Hey all. I'm personally hitting a wall today. I'm getting through it but the temptations are getting difficult today.

            DH got Sonic for the kids and he brought home a burger for me. No problem as I had oopsie bread on hand for it but I REALLY wanted that real fried bun. (blech) Then the kids and their Cheez-it crackers The smell has gotten to me. I don't have parchment paper to make any cheese crackers myself yet. Tight budget so I have to wait until Thursday, which of course by then I probably won't need it. The kids also had yougart raisins and I fought myself hard not to eat even one of them.

            I really want a sweet snack other than my sugar free gum, but at this time I don't have anything else.

            Arrrrrrggggghhhhhhh!

            Hope you all have a good strong 2 days too.

                Hey Srephanie,
                Good for you staying strong! Do you have a non stick skillet? You can fry cheese in it and make cheese shells. Like the crackers your talking about. Only make them on top of the stove.Works out just fine.
                If you're struggling with sweetness, sometimes eating a dill pickle will curb that. Also, when you get a little extra cash, you may want to pick up some L-Glutamine to help out on the sweet cravings. I know from experience that it works. If you would like to know more about L-Glutamine I will give you the info. Just let me know.

                    Checking in, day 1 of induction! Im ready and rearin to go! The kids are even helping out. They wanted me to cook breakfast, and my son said "be nice about what you want, mom cant have bread!" lol I explained to him it was ok, I could make it, I just cant eat it. Gotta love him!

                      Checking in this morning, we got about 9 inches of snow, so took care of the driveway and now I am work.

                        Weigh in day today - I'm down 5.5 pounds since Tuesday. Had a serious slip up yesterday however, so need to buckle down for the week ahead.

                          I would like to know more as well as the xanthum gum (I hope I spelled that right) I saw in some recipes.

                          I did make it through without cheating thankfully. I am however in desperate need of a new scale. My kids broke the one I have so it always gives different weights. I usually take the weight that comes up at least 2 times or more as my weight for the day. I'm a chronic scaler so even if you say "stay off of it" I probably won't, LOL. But I'll be happier once I have a better and newer scale that is accurate.

                          The upside is my family does love their veggies so that makes it easier. Plus I know I don't want to screw this up either so that helps plowing through those hump days that feel like a tough climb.

                            Hi everyone!!!

                            I hope all of you had a fabulous low carb day today.

                            I'm soooo late checking in today. I went out of town today to see a doctor so after I came home this evening I got my butt in gear and did both my morning (which I couldn't do this morning) and my evening exercise sessions all at one time....glad to get it in and I'm glad it's all over!!!!

                            Blue, I hope you were able to get back home safe from work...9 inches of snow is a pretty good dump....good grief!!!

                            Mike, congratulations on your 5.5 loss...that's AWESOME!!! Hey, put the slip up behind you and carry on and don't look back!

                            Slingnmom, congratulations on making it through without giving in....you're doing fabulous!!! Keep it up, it's well worth it!
