  • CC Roll Call Thur 1/15/09

    Good morning all!!! Wow... let me tell you about my night. Yesterday evening I went grocery shopping and while I was out decided to buy some mixed nuts. Now, I'm still on induction which means... they're a no no. I thought though that they're just nuts and no worries. Well I went a little over board and ate half of them. WHAT A MISTAKE! Last night when those extra carbs hit my bloodstream it was crazy. I couldn't sleep, I was all jittery, my heart was racing. CRAZY. I can't believe how much difference that little bit made. The nuts are gone because I've determined #1 I'm still on inductions #2 I can't handle having them around. So yeah, I'm still feeling the affects of them this morning. CRAZY.... Have a great low card day all!!!!

      Good morning Dave and Chick, I guess the moral to the story is "No nuts for Dave", at least now you know nuts are a set off food for you.

        Good morning everyone!

        Dave, when the time comes and you decide to add nuts in I would suggest parsing them into baggies. Do you have a food scale? I don't know what I'd do without mine. I weigh them out into 1oz baggies. Even though you ate them and realized it was not a good idea at least you did realize it and get rid of them. Good job!

          Just a quick check in to say hello. Not feeling very well the last few days, hopefully whatever is going on will leave fairly soon.

              Good morning CC'ers,
              Yes, it's still morning here on the West Coast, barely.
              Dave, Kristine gave you some excellent advice on the food scale. It will keep your portions accurate. I hear you on the nuts. I, myself, can go bonkers with them if I don't portion them out. But, i've never quite had the reaction you had with them, maybe just eating to many.
              Sarina, sorry to hear your not feeling well.I hope you're feeling back to yourself soon.
              All is well in Sherri-Land. Day 9 of Induction and all is well. I lost 2.5 pounds on the first week. I stayed off the scale for the first week now I decided to weigh every day for the 2nd week to see how my weight fluctuates. I'm down another 1/2 lb. today. Still in Ketosis.
              Yesterday I preped food for quick grabs. Glad I did cause last nught I was feeling cravy. Grabbed some tuna salad and celery sticks, hit the spot. My mind wanted a minute muffin
              It's beautiful and sunny here today. A 55 degree day. I'm thinking of you folks that are on the other side of the Rockies, Burrrrr!
              Blue, I seen where there was a terrible multi vehicle pile up earlier this week in your neck of the woods. Pretty scary ha? Be careful out there dear.
              Well, I better get my rear in gear.

                Well today is a good and bad day for me.

                The good is I finally got a new scale. The bad, is the scale added 5 lbs to my weight!

                The old scale still reads 300 but the new scale read 305. I don't know if I can take 5 pounds back right now! I was SOOOOOO close to getting out of the 300's!

                I suppose I have a better more accurate scale now since than the old one but it is difficult for me to swallow those extra 5lbs that just magically reappeared on a new scale.

                I'm currently weighing myself on both scales now though and keeping track of both weights. The new one does incriments of .2lbs while the old one does .5 lbs. This will be a difficult hurdle to take.
