  • I'm back on the wagon!

    Hello all.

I disappeared over a year ago and fell off the wagon a bit (okay, ALOT). I've been dealing with some other health issues that shouldn't have been an excuse to regain the weight that I did. So here I am, butt firmly on the wagon seat and getting in control of my life and health again.

I'm starting to recognize the mistakes that I have made. Among them are:
    • Not following the program carefully
    • Not tracking what I'm eating
    • Givng up when I hit a long plateau
    • Injuring myself by overexercising
    • Eating out too much
    • Allowing little "cheats" here and there
    • Drinking soda again
    • Not remember that this really is a Way of Life

I've had some other health issues crop up but they shouldn't have been an excuse to not eat the right way.

I didn't think I was eating that badly, as I still avoided lots of the bad carb stuff, but the few bad things I did eat was enough.

So 3 weeks in, I'm back on track. I'm cooking more at home, eating better, exercising, quit soda and started drinking my water again. I'm doing a bit of reflecting to figure out what I did wrong and making it a goal to list these things so I can try and avoid making the same mistakes again.

I've lost 9 lbs already and am feeling tons better. Talk about a solid reminder!

I'm looking forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.
