  • Really scared...

Today began my 6th week of pregnancy and I started bleeding. The nurse says it could be nothing to worry about... could be implantation bleeding. I have an appointment at 4 to get a sonogram and a checkup. Please pray for me... I'm so scared.

Bless your heart! I'm praying that everything turns out OK for you and your baby. It's quite common to have a little bleeding in the beginning of a pregnancy, so I really hope it is nothing serious. :hug

She is exactly right and the people here will tell you I just went through it.

From what I understand, normally the blood is reabsorbed into the body during implantation, but sometimes it's not and it will run from pink to dark brown. I bled for two weeks... not hard but spotted. You need to take it easy and stay off your feet as much as you can. They told me no exercises during that time frame and no heavy lifting.

I'm suprised they didn't do an internal ultrasound to make sure the baby is ok. I had one and they could see the area of bleeding.

If it turns bright red, get to the emergency room.

      Hang in there hon!

:hug Get off your feet hon and take a break. I know this is stressful and if I say try not to worry you will think I am a nut so Just take care of you that is the healthiest thing for your baby.

I had some spotting early in my first pregnancy too, but everything was fine. I'll pray for you, too!

Thinking of you, Michelle. I had spotting at about the same stage in my first pregnancy and it was nothing. I"m sure it is for you as well. Just rest and drink some water and try to relax.

Ypu guys were right. They did a sonogram and said everything LOOKS fine. They want me back in 2weeks though for another sonogram to check for a heartbeat.

Thanks everyone. I was freakin out...

After we came home we ended up sitting down and picking names...narrowing it down from our own individual lists to one list of names we both had on our lists. We ended up narrowing it down to 1 name for each gender lol. We're prepared it looks like hahahha.
