    Good morning! Well March is in like a lion here. We're easily at 10 inches of snow, and it's still coming down at a steady clip. YUCK! To top it off, I'm trying to deliver papers in this stuff, and my windshield wipers croak. Oiy Veh!! Time for a hot bath, steaming cocoa, and chick flicks

    Good morning! So glad I moved from Upstate New York to Texas a year ago. I love the snow when I can ski in it and don't have to shovel it. Dealing with it was a reality check. Try and stay warm Chicklady!

      Good morning neighbor! Can you believe this white stuff? I just got rid of the mud on my driveway and walkway. Poo!
      Well, I can tell you, I will get a work out today shoveling it.

          I feel everyone's snow pain.....enough already!!! No more snow!!!

          What I know:
          1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
          2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
          3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
          4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

            I'm in mid western Georgia, and we are not used to snow at all. We got 2-4 inches and schools are cancelled, businesses are closed, and NO ONE is on the road. My police scanner has been non stop with car wrecks. My kids are at home from school today and are driving me bananas!!! :/

            I've had a terrible cold for a week. The congestion in my head is almost gone, but now I"m coughing. Working out only makes it worse. I know now that exercise is KEY to my weight loss. I'm down 1/2 pound since I got sick. I have a mini goal coming up in 4 days and I'm about 1 1/2 pound away from it. I must pick up the exercise pace today, even if only doing some stretching and yoga.

            Some of my short term weight goals:
            (Roughly 2 lbs a week)
            183lbs by February 20th (goal met! 182lbs)
            180lbs by March 6th (goal met! 2/22)

            150lbs by June 14th *My anniversary* <3
            140lbs by August 31
            130lbs by Halloween Oct 31

              I'm holed up today in Pennsylvania, but school was cancelled. No doubt my students are as happy as I am. Shoveling will replace the treadmill today...

              Well, after a Thursday night cheat last week I went into a very strict following of induction. Ketostix (for what they're worth) are showing heavy ketones even though my water intake is very high, but I'm gaining weight. Could be the fact that I might be holding a little extra fluid (not sure what the weather can do...), but I'm actually up 2 pounds from this time last week. I didn't sleep well last night and I know that has an impact on my weight sometimes. I'm not worried. I know that if I stick with the plan, the weight will come off. No more stupid cheats though.
              Who knows, maybe I'll have to try the Michelob diet now, with a side of Whooshie Pie.

                    Every time someone posts that they had 1 or 2 Michelob Ultras, they say they lost weight. Meanwhile I'm sucking on flax seeds and gained.

                      I stalled for two weeks then it came off fast. I was just holding water in place of the fat I was loosing. I was stuck at 168 and now I weighed 163.6 before I drank anything this morning. It can take awhile for those little fat cells to stop keeping themselves full of water and shrink up. Pay attention to how much you are eating too though. You can have high ketones cause you are burning fat you are eating too. Generally you are burning both yours and what you ate when your ketones are high though.



                      My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

                      1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
                      2nd mini goal: 140!
                      3rd mini goal:135!
                      4th mini goal: 130!

                      I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

                        My eating has been really good...just about by the book and it worked for me before this little stall, so I know it'll work again. Honestly, I'm not worried. I like eating this way and losing weight is becoming an added bonus. I'm actually wondering if the cups of coffee I've had every morning are having an effect on me. I'll cut them out for a few days and we'll see.

                          Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.

                            I sure am sorry for all of you that got snow, and lots of it I see oh my. Lucky here in Oregon today with the sun shining in at 60 degrees. But the forcast shows more rain this week. But I won't complain because its better then the snow brrrrr

                              Yea, last week we were up to 86* one day. Today we are around 65* and it is absolutely beautiful out. By the end of the week back into the mid 80's. If you don't like the weather, wait a day or two and it will change.
