    Good morning Chicklady and fellow CC'ers! Off to a rocky start this morning. Headed off to work with my gout back (uric acid build up in your joints) I can barely walk and the pain is horrible but I get this about every 6 months and I just try to block out the pain. Wishing everyone a great day

      I'm back to the diet and eating right. I hope you feel better soon Tutti.



      My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

      1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
      2nd mini goal: 140!
      3rd mini goal:135!
      4th mini goal: 130!

      I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

        Wishing all of you a wonderful low carb day.

        Are you introducing any yummy foods on the rung you are on this week? It's important! That's how we discover which foods we are tollerable or intollerable to.

            Hi My name is Deb I have been here stopping and starting about 25 times. I guess I have been on ADBB for over 2 years now and guess what? I have just gained weight over that time. Guess what else? It is because I have gone on and off and been unfocused and thought I could do it another way. What I got was a whole bunch of dissapointment, feeling like a failure and few extra pounds to show for it. Probably the worst of all of it is the tiredness, bloating and general feeling of unwellness that is practically an every day occurance. I don't know why I kept going off Atkins. I would make excuses that it wasn't healthy for me, or it was too boring and blah, blah , blah you know the routine. The truth of the matter is that I was just not following the diet correctly and when you do something "half-butted" you get half-butted. So here I am all half-butted out and starting again. With a new resolve not to try but to do. To just shut-up and do it.

              Morning everyone...another raw, cold, wet day here on the Gulf Coast...but I will definitely take it. Much better than the mid 80's we were having the other day...especially since my A/C unit is frozen and the repair guy can't come til later on this week! No more stuffy bedroom!

              Just finished my third week of induction. Going to go one more week and see if my weight loss starts coming around again. If not I may move on to OWL rung 1...though I have to admit that makes me nervous! That is the one gripe I have about DANDR, I don't feel that he explained the rungs of OWL as well as he could have. Luckily there are plenty of resources here to use which will help.

              Went out to dinner with my family and my sisters' fiancee last night, and that made me a little nervous. I got a grilled chicken marinated chicken breast, and I asked the waitress what it was marinated in. She said lime juice and some spices...so I took her at her word. When it came to me it had a kind of glazed look on it so I was a little nervous, but it didn't knock me out of ketosis so that is a good thing I suppose.

              Hope everyone has a good weekend I know I will enjoy our rainy weekend cause we need the rain!!!

                    Checking in....sorry I haven't been to involved lately...crazy at home/work, still working the WOL..
                    40 year old male 6' 3"

                    What I know:
                    1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
                    2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
                    3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
                    4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.
