    Good Morning,
    I got the kids off to school weighed myself when i woke up this morning,lost almost one pound. still on that "TOM" very curious on what i will weigh when thats over. Now i am finishing up my blt salad. I cant get over the energy. looks like the house will be spotless today giggle might as well put that energy to good use.

      Good morning Mom and Ruthanne and all Atkineers who follow !

      Got the house to myself today and the solitude is blissful ... alone time is so soothing! By the time DH gets home I'll be happy to see him again .. absence does make the heart grow fonder

          Morning all. This morning when I woke up was my bi-weekly weigh in and now I'm depressed. In the first three weeks of Induction I lost 12.2 lbs, but when I weighed myself this morning I have GAINED about 5 lbs. I'm sure this is water weight, especially since I measured yesterday and I've LOST another half inch around my waist as well as a half inch in my neck, but seeing a number over 300 again is painful. I'm going to be more careful about salt intake and see if that helps. My Induction has been pretty clean, though one day I did sneak 3 Hershey Kisses (they were just sitting on the table screaming my name!). I've also been a little lax with the exercise so today I'm gonna get back into my routine. I think I may cut out the string cheese as a snack as well, because I feel that cheese might be holding me back. Anyone else have something similar occur to them? At first I thought it was just the natural "after induction slow-down" and I'd start right back up...with losing, but seeing those extra lbs with a 3 in front killed my confidence this morning (that is even with knowing the inches are shrinking...damn that scale monster!!!)

                Ryan*~ I'm sorry about the mean metal monster showing a 5 lb gain, but very glad you're still losing inches. I don't know what to say about the cheese. I eat about 2-3 ounces of it daily. Usually 1 string cheese (1 oz) and 2 oz of chedder. Edited* Forgot to ask hows your water intake? Drink lots of it. Will help get rid of what your body is holding onto!!

                  I'm not real big on the string cheese. But I love the pepper jack because I can eat just a little and feel like I've had more. I put hot sauce all over my little chicken breasts today. They were frozen but when they are done, they are tiny. I slowed down after induction, my water weight was yoyoing all over the place. Then about two weeks later and cheat free it cleared up and my strips got darker. I think your body is freaking out about the weightloss and holding water. Watch out for the salt, and give it a little time. Also excercise tends to build up muscle which will weigh heavier than fat but will be good for you. If I could get 2 1/2 more inches off my middle, I'd about call it done! So measure and relax about the weight!
                  Oh,there was a reason the chicken breast got coated in hot sauce. I was planning on having hotwings. Been ages since I bought any cause you have wait for them to be cooked. But I did. And when they were done, I saw they had breaded them! GRRR! They got a new supplier months ago, but I had no clue. I was furious. You just are not suppose to put anything on the wing but hot sauce! So I won't be buying anymore there, EVER!



                  My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

                  1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
                  2nd mini goal: 140!
                  3rd mini goal:135!
                  4th mini goal: 130!

                  I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

                    Is anybody able to eat a serving of nuts and walk away? I ask because I ate half a container of smoked almonds on the way home from shopping without realising it. I added it up,835 calories! OOOOPS! I wanted to cheat so bad today. I woke up and wanted to go out to eat and cheat. I didn't do anything but o.d. on almonds though. I think this will be the last container of nuts I'm gonna buy for awhile.
