  • I Suck

    I lost 15 pound exactly in about 3 weeks. Then I hit a stall for a couple of weeks and got frustrated. Then I went off plan for about the last two weeks. *hangs head in shame* I really suck.

    Can I come back?

    Of course you can! We'd be happy to have you. You are starting a new lifestyle that is completely different from the one you have lived your whole life! Mistakes will be made, faith may waver, but we'll still be here for you.

        We all mess up so no worries

        If I had stayed on plan all the times I fell off I'd be at goal weight all the time

        We are here to support each other, it's a life long journey, there is no end, we just gotta hang in there all together !

        Blood Pressure at start averaged 140/85 borderline Hypertension. Blood Pressure 18 days into plan has changed to 120/78 !!! Measured April 5, 2009

          You messed up! So, where do you go from here? My secret was carrying a copy of the Acceptable Food List and the Rules of Induction in my purse ... not the convenient little card size, but the folded up 8 1/2 by 11 size that I saw every time I opened my purse ... I also kept multiple copies in my brief case, in my car, on my desk. It was my constant reminder that I was trying to change my life. Plan, plan, plan!!!! Just my two cents.

            reneel -- the stall you hit after induction is commonly called PISS (Post Induction Stall Syndrome) it is NOT uncommon you just have to work through it and keep on plan. The best thing you can do is do another clean induction (you probably won't loose as much this time as you did the first time through) and go onto Rung 1 (adding 5 net carbs of veggies) -- if you stall again just understand it is something that happens to many of us.

              We all have our issues.. our bad days, etc. We are here for you.

              Come on back, and hold that head up high!

              One thing I did... I don't know if this will help at all... but I made a list of 100 things I could do instead of "slip up". My list has some amazing things on it... and also has some lame things on it. But every time I'm tempted to go off plan I look at that list and smile and pick something new to try. I have rollerblading, walking the dog, painting my nails, taking a bubble bath, taking a quick walk around the neighborhood, cleaning a closet, folding laundry, making a new low carb meal, etc. That list truly does help me get through the "carb craving days".

                  You do not suck, you are like many that go off and come back to realize their mistake. Welcome back - drink your water and read up on good recipes so you don't go off plan again!
