    Hello Century Clubbers,

Another sunny day here in London. Apparently the temperature here is higher than it is in Rome.

Looking forward to next year when I can wear a nice summer dress!

    Have a great low-carb day.

Re: Roll Call Wednesday 22nd April 09

Good afternoon all! I already posted this question in the STAC group, but I could use all the help I can get.

Doing pretty good these days but finding that as I eat "healthy" induction-legal foods over the "unhealthy" legal foods I am not getting many calories. I can't have too much cheese because I'm lactose intollerant. So, in order to bring up my daily 788 calories to a more reasonable amount I'm eating every piece of meat I can get my hands on.

Any suggestions? I typically max out my carbs without using net carbs pretty easily. I do a lot of chicken, some eggs, some fish, and veggies. I could definitely use some help as most days I seem to be hitting around 1000 calories, even when snacking on grilled beef sticks, boiled eggs, etc. I'm not hungry though, which is a nice change.

Not that I really have much to complain about, I've already lost 6 pounds and the pee-stick-thingy is nice and purple..I just don't want my body jumping into starvation mode.

                          Hi Bella,
Have you tried adding some healthy fats to your food to bring up the calories? If you're eating boiled eggs, how about mashing them up and adding mayo to make an egg salad. The mayo will add up on your calories. Is your chicken lean cuts like chicken breast? If so you can try adding some fat to it as well (stirfrying in olive or coconut oil, or eating some dark meat possibly). I had to try to up my calories at a point but now if I eat a bit more of the fattier cuts of the pork chops or dark chicken I get my calories up where I want (1500-1700). Also you don't want to eat too much protien. Do you track your food on fitday.com? I like the fact that you can check your ratios as well there (65-fat/30-protien/5-carbs). Hope that helps abit. And way to go on your loss so far!
