  • Sunday April 26th CC Roll Call

    Goodmorning CC'ers!! It is pretty darn early here (12:18 AM). I didn't make it to saturdays roll call and I am on a weird schedule so I figured I'd get this one started and checked in. My new furbaby arrived Friday so I have been busy busy with her and then after a full shift at work saturday we took her to the vet. I love her and just the past 2 days has really cheered me up

    I decided to try something I was told a long time ago and put in 1/4 tsp of baking soda in 8 oz of water first thing in the morning, then every 4 hrs and another before bed...I did that all day friday and woke up with the new gout attack completely gone!!! I was practically skipping to work saturday morning I was so happy. I am still anxiously awaiting some cherry extract to take daily to help prevent reoccurance. Well goodness I am goin on and on. Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend so far and happy sunday

    Hi everyone - just checking in between turning up three pairs of trousers (yuck) and tackling a pile of ironing (yuck again!) Planning a nice walk this afternoon. Hope you all have a great low carb day.

      y'all, after 8 days of struggling, i finally got rid of those 2-3lbs that showed up last weekend, and i'm officially back at -15. now, right at the cusp of seeing a new low current weight, i have to go make nicey nice at the bf's parents house for his birthday, -AND- i have to go out to eat with them. !!! i dont want to! but i can't very well blow off his birthday! so they want me to go hang around their house all fragging day then go to papadeaux's, then spend the night and have breakfast. ugh, only on atkins would plans that are supposed to celebrate someones birthday give me so much freaking anxiety.

              Hi everyone,

              I've had a super-productive day already - I cooked 5 recipes to totally simplify this WOE for the next week. Meals planned, packaged & ready to go (with a little salad on the side). Now I just have to get some exercise in & the rest of the day is MINE! Speaking of exercise, I picked up a used Gazelle yesterday...maybe I'll give that a go while I watch the hockey game.

                Signing in rather late tonight, had a busy day, managed to get through a social engagement without breaking the diet, very very proud of myself. I met up with a fellow low carber there, who was less successful in avoiding the sandwiches, cakes and wine! Kept feeling my eye being drawn to the plates of sandwiches - proves how close that old carb addiction still is.

                    Tutti, I'm thrilled to hear you're feeling better today...that is terrific news!

                    Kibskix, congratulations on losing the 2-3 pounds!!!! Well done, keep it up!

                    Julie, I hope you enjoy your glider! I absolutely love mine and run on it 6 days a week amongst doing other exercises. It has been my exercise staple...in fact I have gone through two of them already! Have fun with it. I always pop in one of my favorite music DVD's and watch it while I run on mine. Let us know how it goes for you....enjoy!

                    Keetje, way to go in sticking to this way of eating and not caving....well done!!!! You should be very proud of yourself!!!!

                      Good night all! Sometimes my weekends are so busy I don't sign on in the morning to check in. Good weekend all around. Friends. Family. Ate lobster this afternoon with some drawn butter and at lobster salad leftovers tonight. Also did the MS walk this weekend. Everyone enjoy the week ahead!
