  • Someone give me a kick in the a$$

Grrrrrrrrr as I stated in roll call this morning I did not stay on plan this weekend. I was all ready to get back on the wagon this morning and I gave in to this really cool oatmeal cookie Instead of it topped with m&m's it had chocolate/candy coated sunflower seeds. I don't want to get on a downward spiral and waste all the hard work I have been doing for the past 10 weeks. My daughter picked them up this weekend at Bimart. I took them and packed them away in a ziplock baggie and thru them to the back of the pantry, lol.

If your daughter is old enough to pick up cookies without your knowledge at Bimart, explain to her how you want to be healthy and need to stay away from the sugary treats. It isn't a lesson that is ever too early to learn given what one generation manages to pass on to their kids.

Having said that, this isn't her responsibility ... it is yours!!! You need to be able to sanitize your environment from the carbs or walk away from them. Othewise, the cycle will continue over and over again.

There ... consider yourself kicked with a velvet boot!!

I would give a kick.. but I've had my own share of struggles over the weekend. All I have to say is... you've done so well. Don't give up!!!

          Dear Tutti

You asked for a kick up the a**, but I am not terribly good at that - I prefer to use reason.

However, as a kick up the a** was requested, I am sending THIS very scary looking guy to see you

Now drop and give me ten!!

Temptation is going to come your way, try and think of those carbs as poison to your body - because that is actually what they are.

Its a new day, dust yourself off and start clean - we have all had to do it.

Good job throwing the cookies in the back of the cupboard.

You are doing SO well, don't let a slip dishearten you.

Re: Someone give me a kick in the a$$

Tutti hang in there, it's worth it ! Take some time to think about all you've been through,

Think about where you were at BEFORE you started, the way you felt, and how things have changed for the better since then. Every little thing you gained, your health check numbers, your struggles to this date.

You can get past this, just focus and decide what you need to do and go from there.

I myself had a little slip up this weekend, my first in over a month. The next day i just went forward like if it did not happen and stayed back on plan. I think it was a necessary slip up to learn a lesson but now I'll be more prepared in the future.

You can do this you were at 331 when this journey began remember that those sweets got you there ! And leaving those sweets got you to where you are now.

OK .. that's my kick in the booty for you

Re: Someone give me a kick in the a$$

                  1. CHILL OUT!!!!!! Did you guzzle it down then get 20 more? No? There ya go.

                  2. Get down off the Cross, other people need the parking space. Don't let this lead to a bout of self-loathing...which then quickly mutates into self-pity. THAT leads to a binge and lots of wasted time and energy. My copy of DANDR does not include any instructions to wallow in self pity. (Lucky, because I am susceptible to it!)

                  3. It's a slip up, not a catastrophe, ok?

                  4. Go look at some BEFORE pics or read some of the hellacious stories on this bulletin board about people who really jumped off the ship and went back to their old WOE. That should supply plenty of motivation!

Not kind and gentle, but not brutal either. Just the truth as I see it.

                  Motivated yet?

                  Keep kicking *** sister!

I finally got back into the groove of things today. Ok, the cookie thing...just a small part of my slip that I mentioned about this weekend. They are also not in the cupboard anymore. We gave the rest to my nice elderly neighbor. He says they would be a good treat when his blood sugar drops. Definetely poisoned myself from those carbs. I have had the most horrid headache from that crap! I am so glad to have nipped it in the butt there instead of finding myself in a downward spiral. I started a clean 2 week induction today and I can't even begin to say how grateful I am to all of you!!!! THANK YOU ALL
