Do you ever just get in the mood to cook? I found the Pumpkin Cheese Cake recipe in the Deserts section of the board...had some frozen pumpkin left over from last fall, and its cooling in the oven now! It smells so good. This is the first time I have ever baked with Splenda so I am unsure of the results.

As of today, I'm down 10.5 pounds from my start! I swear, I feel better already.

    Goodnight all,
    Robin

Yes, I do...I suppose that's one of the things that got me in trouble in the first place

So far, I have avoided the desert recipes...I'm sure I'll get there tho.

      Re: Cooking

I love to cook too Lately though I have only been baking savoury things like 'bread' and crackers.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Me too, love to cook. I printed some new recipes off Linda's site. I am anxious to try them. My kids asked for the thin and crispy pizza again. It's good when you find low carb options the whole family can eat and not make separate meals. I have avoided desserts this time also because I am afraid it will trigger me to over eat or cheat. Been there done that. Have the tee shirt that doesn't fit. ha ha

I am loving Linda's recipes - I use them all the time! Some good ones in the forums too. It's nice to be able to "cook" and stay on plan

Every weekend, I do my Atkins cooking. I always make some sort of roast for the week, sometimes chili, soups. I cook up hard boiled eggs and chicken for chicken salad and some crustless quiche. It is a habit I got into when I started Atkins and one that I continue to this day.

I've always loved baking, too. Twice a month, some friends and I bake for a Ronald McDonald House and an area soup kitchen, so I get my baking mojo on but I don't slip into the sweet trap. For me it would be a long fall.
