  • Funny, but true, weight story

In order to keep my thoughts positive and live with the control freak that I am, my spouse helps me weigh. I insist I weigh each morning, don't lecture me, I know it's wrong, but I'm going to do it anyway!

The reason she helps me is that our scale is sensitive. If I look down, the weight changes. So, I stand straight and tall, look straight ahead, and she tells me my weight...or not. This morning she said, "You don't want to know". Ok, it's my moon time, I have water weight.

This evening, I was picking up the bathroom and my 9 year old says she has gained 4 pounds! I said no way! About then, I shoved the scale with my foot and it didn't move right. We flipped it over and a foot was missing! We removed all the feet and it is level again. All three of us reweighed and, compared to the morning results, are very satisfied.

Lesson learned, helps to have good equipment at the start of a journey!

    Have a great evening,
    Robin

LOL! Love it! We've had similar issues with our scale. There's only one bathroom where we can weigh and get the same result each time. In the master bathroom, we'll get on and off the scale a dozen times and have a dozen results. It's crazy!

Re: Funny, but true, weight story

i had to buy a new scale because my old digital scale that i have had for several years got psychotic on me. I got on it one morning and it would stop at one weight and then go up by 10 lbs, then another 10 lbs and that is about the time that I jumped off of it. I had a new scale that evening.
      47 years old--5'9"
      Start date: 01-03-09--SW: 283/255/150
      BMI: 41.9

      RESTART ON 122809 at 279.2, BMI 40
      RESTARTED ON 032810 at 274

      MG1: 270: met 01-06-10
      MG 2: 260:
      MG 3: 250:
MG 4: 219--will no longer be severly overweight, just overweight!!

Oh, that is too funny. It sounds like the scale was self destructing!
