Let me give you a little bit of background on me (because its been a long time since I did atkins, and Im officially starting over):
I'm 22 years old, and had a real shocker last weekend when I went for a physical. My doctor told me flat out: "lose weight or die."
I'm sure as you could imagine, I was shocked. I was doubly shocked to hear my doctor actually recommend the Atkins plan to me. Being the son of a nurse, I've heard horror stories of the potential pitfalls of such a lifestyle. Still, I sought out a second opinion - a dietician. she fully endorsed and recommended it to me, and even presented me with some before/after shots of some of her clients.
I was amazed, to say the least.
So, I waited a week - planned everything out, and started this past Sunday, which, I must admit, was a killer, because it was the Yankees opening day, and the chips and dips abound!
However, I survived
monday I woke up with the worst headache I've ever had. I was weark, tired, and thought if I didn't get some bread, pasta, or something high carb in me, I'd die. Still, I kept on, knowing that the dietician told me to stick with it, because these were all normal events.
Today, I woke up and felt pretty good. No headaches or terrible weakness, but I had an aefull taste in my mouth - yeck. I followed my usual routine for a Tuesday, excepty at a little before 3pm, I went out and "power walked" on the track at my college for 2 miles. It took me almost two hours, but I did it.
and, I must admit, I feel better than good right now - I feel alive. Kind've weird way to put it, I know, but hey, it's a good thing(tm)
