  • I'm Back

Here I am again, after a few months of terrible eating and all that goes with it. I feel so tired and horrible! Today is my first day of starting induction. Please feel free to post any encouragement you have to offer- I'm gonna need it.

    Re: I'm Back

Good luck! I just started this WOE in May, but had a bad week (managed to stay in ketosis most of the week, but just ate things that are NOT healthy) and have pledged to eat right this week, and the next, and the next...

Glad to see you made it back to the board. I feel encouraged every time I log in and read. Hope it does the same for you!

      Re: I'm Back

Welcome back Angela, is it ever good to see you again girl!!!!

A big congratulations in picking yourself back up and making the effort to becoming healthy. That's huge and I'm glad you've done so.

We're all here to support one another, come here lots ESPECIALLY if you find yourself struggling....someone is always here to help in tough situations.

Just a bit of advice, take a little bit of time while on Induction and reflect back to the reason/s or situation/s that made you fall off. That's very important to reckognize so that you can prevent it from happening again. For example, making sure you have legal food at all times in the house....making sure you have legal food prepped ahead of time so that you don't reach for something you shouldn't...just to name a couple.

Please keep in touch and let us know how it's going...I'm so proud of you for coming back and commiting to becoming healthy....I know you can do this!

Drink lots of water to flush out the toxins, start walking even if it's for only 10 minutes a day...get your body moving...that's very important and will help get through feeling crappy too.

Feel free to pm me anytime....I'm right here with you!

Hi and welcome back -- just reminding you to eat a variety of foods, get your fats, carbs and protein in daily, drink plenty of pure water (nothing added), take your supplements and exercise...it's really that easy. Check the STAC for additional support Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet.

          Re: I'm Back

Thanks you guys; I needed the encouragement. Yesterday was a rough day for me. I felt lethargic all day with a slight headache on top of that. Then by yesterday evening I had a full-blown migraine. I have never felt so bad in my life! I'm guessing it's just my body going through the cleansing process. I feel somewhat better today; still a little sluggish with little desire to eat anything at this point.

I totally thank you guys for your advice. I'm really going to think about what made me go off of this WOE last time. I felt the best I have ever felt when doing Atkins so I must really weigh the benefits and the consequences on my health very seriously this go around. I'll keep ya posted.......
