    Goooood morning everyone!!!!

How's everyone doing this morning and what sort of plans do you have have today? I plan on cleaning, cooking and exercising my butt off...those are my exciting plans for the day!

It's about 2:30am and I just finished spending the last two hours making marinade (thanks to Jill and her awesome recipe) for some boneless, skinless chicken thighs I plan on cooking later today, then I cleaned the fridge, did some dishes and cleaned our bath room..... I'm even thinking about digging into mixing the ground turkey, chicken & beef hamburger together to make stuffed peppers later today.......how can you tell I have insomnia!!!!! Perhaps I'll leave that for later today.

Wishing all of you a fabulous low carb day today!!

Wow...I mean WOW! Just reading your stats made me want to jump and scream for you..lol.

I'm back on the wagon today...with a major tummy ache from the crap I ate yesterday. At least I won't have to worry about being around those people for awhile. I hate hurting their feelings. *sigh* Anyway, it's back to being about me...about the weight loss and about finding the person I used to be.

I guess it's my age niko but I really don't mind hurting people's feelings...it's about my health now, not the way they cook! When I go anywhere I take food along I can eat and then when they ask for a taste I get the extra out i've brought for just that reason.... I enjoy watching others ask for the recipes because the food tastes so good.....

I just finished Jillian's 30 day shred, I've got 2 loads of laundry done & put away and have the last load ready to go into the dryer. Vacuumed the entired house and now it's time for a shower.

      Have a great day ladies!!

Today is getting ready for the week day (cooking, laundry, etc). It is also my niece's 4th birthday party.

Tomorrow, I will actually start Rung 2 by adding yogurt (would have done it today, but I'm eating my sister's cooking at the party, and I have no idea what's going to be in it...)

Thank you Niko, I appreciate it! Things are coming along nicely and I'm thankful for it!

Sorry to hear that you slipped up yesterday, I am very pleased to hear you are back in the game today...well done. Drink lots of water and fit some form of exercise into your day.

Regarding hurting people's feeling....I'm right there with Carole all the way. It's not about their feelings, it's about your health. I understand it can feel "uncomfortable" at the time if you're at someone's house and you don't eat the food that they've made but if they truly care about you and your decision to eat healthy and lose weight they will not be hurt.

If they are hurt (or act as though they are) they really need to take a look at their intentions or lack there of. Don't give in to them, this is about your life and most importantly your health. You know what..something I realized right at the beginning was that the people I visit don't have to go away at the end of the night feeling guilty for giving into the wrong food choices or having to deal with a temporary weight gain or a stall or feeling physically ill because of eating wrong and deviating from this way of eating....but we do don't we? And having to deal with those mess ups and the feelings of guilt and frustration afterwards and physically feeling unwell is I think worse then sitting down and dealing with someone's hurt feelings.

For me, when I started out I sat down with the people most close to me and explained what I was doing and I made it clear (in a very kind way) that I would not deviate from eating this way. Thankfully they supported me 100 % and a few people have not but thats ok, I do exactly what Carole does...I prepare a few dishes (enough for everyone that is there) when I go to those people's homes (the one's that don't seem to support me) and I share them with everyone there...that way they get to partake in my food as well and it doesn't look like I'm singled out just eating my own food. Also, I eat before I go to someone's home so if I'm there and I get hungry I don't give into the "finger/snacky foods" they put out...or I put a bit of food in my purse and I eat it on the way there or on the way back or I just plain pull it out and eat it with them....I make no apologies! LOL!!!!

Please re-look at giving into poor food choices because you think you might be hurting people's feeling because at the end of the day the person you're really hurting is yourself.

I say these things out of care and concern for you and much encouragement and support....I know the feelings and situations...been there done that.

Carole, way to go! I have Jillian's shred dvd too....it's terrific! I don't work out to it as often as I would like, I'm more on my glider, stepper, rowing machine and weights but I do totally enjoy that particular dvd when I do work out to it. I certainly feel sore in the morning! Good on you!!!!

          Have a great day everyone!

            Re: Sunday, July 5-09

Keetje signing in from hot and bothered London - we are not used to this sultry summer weather over here.

I am back from a week's holiday - and I have been FAR from on the straight and narrow - so I have to lose that five pounds that I have been losing and gaining again.

Niko, I am a bit like you in that I tend to clear my plate at friends' houses when they have cooked for me. I am giving this problem serious thought at the moment - it can be a real problem for me saying no.

Never mind, back home now in my safe low-carb environment - did some heavy housework today and managed to get out on my bike for a bit of calorie burning.

Got a heavy day cleaning tomorrow (I have been renovating a flat for rental) - this involves bringing the car - but on Tuesday I fully intend to be back on my bike. I fitted airco to my office recently, so I can cool off nicely after the ride in - getting hot and bothered is a real problem for me!
