I'm a size 20 that looks fine in ON ultra low waist jeans. I wear them all the time (i am short waisted though). I had a heck of a time finding jeans when I got too fat for the size 20's at ON, but I am almost down to 18's now! I am 5'7" and the length is just right.
How high do the plus sizes go? I know up to 20 they have short, med and tall in some styles of jeans, all with varying rises.
They also sell a lot of plain shirts, which I like.
    Torrid rocks, BTW.
Once I get close to goal I'm gonna have to put all my cute torrid stuff up for grabs!

Sighhh... I love Old Navy, probably too much (hence me going into debt with my Old Navy card). I just bought a long, flowy brown hippy skirt from there that's marvelous. And I bought my first pair of size 10 capris. I still have a little stomach hangover, so I'm sticking with my 12s for now, but I never thought I"d be able to button a 10 around my fat ***, EVER!

How does Torrid clothes fit? I bought a pair a pants, there a few years ago before they changed the store around, which fit good. I heard that there clothes run a little smaller now.

torrid stuff fits pretty true to size. they are all different brands though so you should try on. I have bought off the internet and haven't had sizing problems. They have junior styles-a lot of form fitting stuff. Really good deals on clearance. they do 50% off clearance a lot.

            anyone shop at the Avenue

I kinda like thier stretch jeans. I'm short so I buy petite stretch jeans, most times they fit ok.

I loved this.. I found tube tops in a plus size store the other day, and thought, OH MY... WHY???????????These werent the cute, baby doll bottomed tops that might have worked, this was a five inch band of fabric. On the mannequin, the (ahem) "plus size person" (size 8 prolly, instead of a two), was wearing it alone with a pair of low rise pants... DO THEY THINK IM STUPID??? ARE THEY ***WANTING *** People to LAUGH AT ME? I was asked to leave the store for laughing so hard at this. I just couldnt see MY gut hanging out as I'm prancing around in these clothes on a Saturday night.. oh man...

I also have to agree about the maternity looking clothes thing too.. you would think that with over 60% of women being a size 12 or larger, SOMEONE would get a clue.

Today was a long awaited great day, weatherwise. Lots of people were walking the Boulevard surrounding a bay in Portland. Had to love the number of people our walking in all sorts of conditions, size and shapes. But I must have become my mother overnight because as I watched some of the people walking, all I could think is there are some styles that should not be made in plus sizes!! For me it is ... what's up with pencil skirts? I'm not blessed to be able to where them!

I think that when I see tons of nice sleeveless tops. I think I would DIE before I'd wear something sleeveless out to a formal event or anywhere but the garden for that matter. Egads.

Old Navy...I like the looks of their clothing sometimes but not the fit. The pants always squinch in at the knees leaving me looking like I'm wearing riding jodphurs. Any top that's OK in the shoulders and the bust is too stretched at the hips. And, good heavens, WHY would anyone who wears a size 24 even consider a denim micromini skirt??? That one must be on the 110% off rack. I applaude their desire to accommodate the plus size market but I pretty much limit my ON purchases to their T-shirts. And there's NOTHING at Old Navy that I would pay full price for. The quality of their fabric and workmanship just doesn't justify the pricetag.

I agree about the prices being too high for the quality. I have never found anything in ON that I would waste my money for.

OK, I got my morning chuckle from reading. Hehehe

LB last year made 2 inch inseam shorts.. and I laughed and thought oh gods who would wear this. Next thing I knew, there was a woman in a store wearing them. I now got the visual exactly as I had pictured it...

I may be fat but I can look at my own arse in the mirror and decide if something is flattering.
