I want to enter a new custom food into Fitday that contains 1 cup of flaxmeal. Anybody know the carb count and fiber content on a cup of flaxmeal? Fitday shows a carb count for seeds but not the meal - a cup of seeds would make a lot more than a cup of meal wouldn't it? I've never ground my own so I'm just assuming.

I found one reference by using google. According to the link below, Dakota Ground Flax has 7 grams of carbs and 4 grams of fiber per 1/4 cup. For a complete set of nutrition information, calories and such, try this link.

according to the customer service fellow at Bob's Red meal you get 2T of meal for every one T od seed you grind. My gringing experiment came up a little short of a full 2T but the advice is good since I'd count more carbs then I actually have.by the book atkinseer
