    Hello everyone!!!

    It's a long weekend here in Canada today...yippie!!! I've been online desperately looking for a place that my husband and I can cram some QUICK dance lessons in at leading up to my cousin's up and coming wedding reception early in September. I don't want to be up there doing the "Elaine dance" from Seinfeld LOL!!! I'll look like I'm up there with the dry heaves or something So, I think I FINALLY have my husband convinced that we need to do this but I feel like I'm running out of time!

    So, that's what I've been doing the last few hours. I'm about to jump on my stationary bike and log some time in and then I'll jump on my glider and do that. I'll complete my abs workout routine later tonight before bed.

    Heaviest weight - 403 lbs. (2007)
    April 1, 2008 - 387 lbs. (This is when I initially started to lose weight…but was not on Atkins at this point)
    Atkins start weight – 347 lbs. (July 19, 2008 – began Atkins)
    1st major goal met -----100 lbs. lost as of Oct 2, 2008 - Hit 300 lbs. on this day – From April 1-08 when I initially begin to lose weight.
    2nd major goal met - 151 lbs. lost as of Jan 13, 2009 - Hit 249 lbs. on this day.
    3rd major goal met - Wed, May 13-09 - Reached losing 200 lbs. in just over a year and a couple of months.
    4th major goal met – Reached “Onederland” June 6-09 – 198 lbs.
    5th major goal met - My 1 yr. Atkins anniversary - Weighing 184 lbs. this day
    Current weight – 183 lbs.
    Goal weight - 150 – 160

    Well, I got out of the house and did a little walking. Granted it was at stores. lol I ate something that knocked me out of ketosis. But not a binge or anything. I also went by the thrift stores and picked up stretch jeans that are a little too small for me. Now I've got something to shrink into. On a horrible note, one pair was a 10 and one was a big 8, so I wanted a pair of regular 8s to try on. I thought I had them, until I put them on and it went horribly, horribly wrong. They were a size 6. I don't think I'll ever get THAT small. But I might, so I'm keeping them, just in case.
    My daughter checked the lable, she swears those horrible pants are an 8! Grrrrrrrrrrr!

    My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

    1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
    2nd mini goal: 140!
    3rd mini goal:135!
    4th mini goal: 130!

    I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

        Oh, now that sounds like fun Sarina. Dancing is such great exercise too. Enjoy!
        Rita, looks like you have some new goal pants, ha. The smallest i've been is 15's. I was happy with that too. I couldn't imagine being an 8. But then again i'm 5'10", so I would like to be a size 14. Concidering I came from a size 4x. I'll be happy with that.

        I had a long day. I've been cleaning all day, deep cleaning. Also working in the garden. Picked green beans and squash today. Did some laundry. I'm headed to get groceries tomorrow, early. Clean and well stocked home. A girl couldn't ask for much more. Ha
        Sierra (DD) lost another 2 pounds from last week. A total of 17 pounds lost. She's looking forward to clothes shopping for school.

          , yes this SHOULD be quite eventful...I think Harold and I will both have to find a pair of steel toed boots to wear...especially me...he has size 13/14 feet! I'll keep you posted LOL!!!!

            I'm only 5'6 1/2". But there is an active debate around here about the size of my hip bones and the size of those pants. I think if I can just stop hanging over the 10's, I'll stop. I've still got too much padding still to know what size thin is for me. What is under there and when will I find it??? I think I'm gonna have to tone the tummy. I really thought I had a larger frame or something and I'd be done with pinching inches. When I started I was in size 20 pants but 22's felt better. I don't mind being a size 14, or a 12. I am fighting the belly though and its winning, its still there.

              Oh Rita me too...the tummy thing for me is still alive and thriving but you know...it's way way way better than I ever expected it would be coming from the weight I was and aside from eating properly I have to say it's come along as well as it has primarily due to the exercise. My doctor told me something very interesting a few weeks ago...he said that once one reaches their goal, they have to give the loose skin at least a full year to tighten up...it takes time and exercise!

              Keep it up Rita, you're doing awesome...congratulations on your new sized pants...how wonderful!

                Thanks so much Sarina! I was wondering about my skin. I've stopped dieting sometimes trying to wait for it shrink up. I'm glad to know it'll continue to shrink for up to a year after I'm done! I think that is making me a little bulkier looking. I noticed someone larger than me but so much tighter looking. I thought about how it use to be, and it IS way better looking now. I've pinched around, I AM winning, I'll get there! I bought excercise tapes but haven't gotten up and done them yet. I am the worst about excercise. I'll walk anywhere as much as you want, but toneing I dread. I've changed so many other things, maybe I'll work up to excercise too.

                  Hello everyone,
                  I hope it is okay to join your support group. I am trying to lose at least 100 pounds and I need all the support I can get. I keep going back and forth with losing the same weight over and over again. I finally joined some challegenes last month and again this month to help motivate me to get up and move and maybe then I'll see some weight lost. I haven't weigh myself since the 6 wec challenge, because I joined the scale free challenge as well...so hopefully at the end of the 6 wec I can post some positive weigh lost results.

                    It's great to meet you...I'm glad that you've joined our CC daily roll call....I'm going to create a new one for today..I don't think anyone has so far.

                    Congratulations on jumping in and joining some of the challenges...they're a terrific and fun way to keep motivated and comitted to exercise...well done!!!

                    You certainly have come to the right board for support and encouragement...it's amazing here! People truly care and are here for one another. Read as many posts as you can, post as often as you like. Be sure to continue to eat everything your suppose to, drink lots of water and be sure you continue to fit some form of exercise into your daily routine...they all go hand in hand!

                      You're most welcome Rita! I found that information to be encouraging as well...."music to my ears"!!!

                      You ARE winning and that's very important to keep in mind at all times...it's alllll happening and you're getting closer and closer to your goal each day.

                      Walking is a terrific way to exercise so hey, if you're not up to the workout tapes...just put on those running shoes and go for a lovely walk! It's the best form of exercise out there by far....doesn't cost anything, one can do it pretty much anywhere at anytime and it's great for releasing tention. Sometimes when I'm just not in the mood to jump on my glider, my husband and I go to the park/lake that is near us and walk around....it's a welcomed change!
