    Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. This is day 6 for me and I stepped on the scales. I have lost 2.8 pounds! It's nice to have the scale go in a different direction.

    I had cataract surgery last wednesday and the doctor has almost given me full range in the gym. I started working out again this week but am only allowed to use low weights for weight training. I can take my spin class but I still have one more week before I can get back in the pool.

    Hopefully, I will be back on track and I can watch the weight really come off.

    Congrats on your beginging losses

    looks like you have a big advasntage over other newbies as we usually have to drag them kicking and screaming to read that chapter on mandatory exercise as apart of their Atkins.

        F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )
