  • Strawberry Season

Is it just my imagination or are there strawberries everywhere. AND they're cheap. To my detriment I bought an 84oz. package of strawberries for $4.00 :yikes

My kid loves to eat them, and they are good for her. But I have caught myself in the strawberry trap. One here, one there, come on it can't hurt. Seeing as how I have to slowly work through my strawberry craze, I dedided that for the time being I will replace my vegetable intake with strawberries. I know this sounds crazy but I can't just let 84 oz. of red, juicy, perfectly delicious and harmless strawberries rot. Anyway if I pace myself maybe my husband will eat them all before I can get through them.

Can I just say, I can't wait for strawberry season to be over! Hope everyone else is surviving the strawberry craze. I must say that even though I AM going on a slight strawberry bend, I am still pleased with my food choice. Before it woudl have been cake, cookies, and ice cream. Now it's strawberries (shrugs) go figure.

You know that strawberries are not veggies. They are fruit and they are loaded with sugar :yikes.

Here is a better idea. Sit down and slice up those stawberries into freezer bags and FREEZE THEM. Slice them up for desert and feed them to your kids and DH, while you have a great salad with yummy dressing. Give them away to friends, neighbours, and enemies but do yourself a really big favour and ......

GET RID OF THOSE BERRIES and EAT YOUR VEGGIES!!!

you need to love yourself more then those strawberies and adopt the saying Better to waste it then waist it.
you can always freeze them for later.

I understand the frustration. Freeze them and move to OWL if you aren't already there. Also, kuddos to you for giving them to your daughter as a healthy snack.
