On Saturday...I have a huge board meeting. I am president over a league of writers and there has been some bickering lately between some of the members that has gone out of control.

I am having a BIG BOARD MEETING tomorrow and I think that I will need as many prayers and good vibrations as you can all muster. Thanks in advance. You remember that I did a huge conference last year, well....looks like I will have to take over the one that is scheduled for this year and do it myself cause the members don't want to work together.

So, here I go again....At least this year I have more energy and am not as self-conscious as I was last year about meeting people and getting involved. So, maybe this is a good thing. An opportunity to meet more people and broaden my aquaintenaces even more. Yeah, thats it. I feel better already. You guys are great -- just coming here made me see it in a new light. (lol) *but please still keep me in your thoughts. I need positive vibes coming my way.

If only you guys could show up and cover me...I'd feel a whole lot better.

This meeting is going to be ugly. I've received so many emails and phone calls from angry people. Everyone wants me to side with them and of course we all know everyone's wishes can't be granted...so I will have to choose what I think are the best decisions for the members of the entire state... and that is going to leave some people very upset. I have a gavel, so at least I can have some fun smacking the desk and getting their attention if things get out of control.

I always try to look at conflicting opinions as a good thing. Without dissention, things tend to stay in a rut. Even if you can not take all points and make them happen, you know some of the strengths and weaknesses of the new and old ideas. You also learn a lot about the people you are dealing with. My problem is that I always try to make people feel good about things, and some people are just not like that.

Well, today is here. I've been up most of the night going back over hundreds of notes and reading our Constitution and ByLaws over and over. I've made my decisions and I'm ready for the meeting.

This started out as a squabble between a few ladies but it is ending today. Thanks for your wishes...I'm sure they will help me keep it together when the going gets tough!!

I want you all to know that I felt the good wishes coming to me today!! The meeting was a complete success!! I couldn't have asked for a better meeting and recieved so much support and good wishes from my board. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life. Thanks to all of you.
