I know to some my Ralphy is just a dog, but to me he means the world and I love him so I am asking for your good vibes, prayers and white light (and any suggestions) for him.
I think he has hot spots, he was chewing and licking his foot so much this evening that I now have him wearing my sons tube socks. That seems to have helped.
I took him to the vet last week and was given a special shampoo and some kind of special water to put on his sores.
Please send thoughts and prayers for a cure and quick recovery from his hot spots and itches.
    Thanks so much.

Try some bendryll. My babies have had this problem. The bendryll helped keep them from itching.

Maybe one of those plastic collars would help. You know doggies don't feel pain quite like we do, and they tend to get bored and go after spots that bother them. They have no sense when to stop. I am sure the vet stuff will work if Ralphy gives it a chance. Sometimes they even like the taste of the medicine because it is new. Give him a pat for me and tell him he is a good doggie, then throw that toy he likes to give him something else to think about. :hug :hug (one hug for you, one hug for Ralphy)

Thank you everyone for the wonderful advice and caring thoughts.
Today DH and I drove out to a boarding kennel/Vet/Petshop way out in the boonies and believe it or not I found something that makes Ralphy stop licking his feet.....I sprayed a little on and he looked at me like "hey whatca doin to my foot, must be a treat", and he licked it and looked up at me and then down at his foot and then licked it again and got this discusted look on his face and got up and walked away......he did look back over his shoulder at me as if to say "how dare you" and he hasn't touched that foot since! So I am sooooooooooo happy about that!
Now a wait and see if the stuff the vet gave us will take care of the hot spot but if not, I also found some stuff with Aloe Vera in it for dogs and I will try that!
                              Ralphy sends his thanks too......Boop!
