    Okay, I never start roll call, but I need to today. I got off track. I was gonna going to quit smoking, so I thought I'd eat whatever while I did. Well, the scales jumped up 10 pounds! I mean really in couple of days. I then started smoking again and still had problems sticking to plan because I put crappy foods in the house. I've gotten rid of them all. I'm going to quit smoking again in a couple of days too. This time I plan to eat on plan while I attempt it. Okay, I may eat more. I may not be loosing weight for awhile. But my weight is no longer my biggest health issue, the tobacco is. My SO has serious problems with it and how long its taking me to give it up. But if I go off plan eating, I feel horrible about myself too. I wanted to get to goal weight before I attempted to quit smoking, but that hasn't happened either. So I'll have to deal with both at the same time. The people that thought I could eat off plan and be done with the diet now see what happens to me if I go eating whatever. I think they atleast understand it really kills me to go up 10 pounds! I am tempted to move goal weight down 10 pounds cause the second I up my carbs, water weight will come back. But I'm not going to do that, I'll deal with all that when I get closer to goal. One pack of tobacco left, then I've got to stop. Even if I am doing crappy and not posting, I'm lurking. Sometimes its the difference in getting set back for the week and getting set back for the month.



    My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

    1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
    2nd mini goal: 140!
    3rd mini goal:135!
    4th mini goal: 130!

    I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

    On a brighter note, I ordered something for the kitchen. The bottom burner on my oven won't come on. I ordered a convection toaster oven thing to use until I get brave enough to take apart my stove. I'm all excited about being able to rotissere my own chickens. Granted it was referb. So keep your fingers crossed the thing works and has all its parts when it gets here. It hasn't got got here yet and I've already got a roast thawed and waiting on it to arrive. Its suppose to have a slow cook setting. I can't bake junk food, but I'm all for making meat you can slice with a butterknife!

      Here's wishing you all the luck you can get. I managed to quit a 2-pack-a-day habit cold turkey a couple of years ago. It was and still is tough. I don't know if I could have done that and Atkins at the same time.

          Mornin - one idea for staying on track while trying to stop smoking is to chew sugarless gum. I know alot of people say not to on Atkins but if its between that and eating junk food to not smoke I'd go for the sugarless gum and even maybe tictacs they're alot better than junk food, will curb your need to smoke and won't add 10 pounds.             Hey guys and gals. I'm managing to stay on plan even though I have the freaking back to school flu. *sob* At least I've figured out how to make "potato" soup but really miss having carrots.
