Re: 365lb ~~ my quest to lose weight!

Lol! It WILL pay off. Getting the hunger under control alone is worth it. I kept going on and off Atkins. Finally, I just didn't want to feel hungery all the time. Saterday night a box of doughnuts was brought into this house. I didn't have one. Even if don't always win, I won that one. My ex who I am dating wants me to quit smoking and I keep failing. I am so inspired by you quitting the carbs, I'm gonna make a serious run at giving up the tobacco. I always used the diet as a reason to smoke. If I don't smoke I'll get fat again etc. I'm not smoking, I need something to munch on.... This time, I am not going to give up on doing both at the same time. Tomarrow I'll run out tobacco. I'll slash my tires before I'll run get more! This morning my daughter lost her glasses. She looses several things several times a week. I was ticked and used that as a reason I just had to buy tobacco. I'm an addict, you're an addict. If you can do it, I CAN TOO! And I can buy a steak instead.... I'm lucky I like meat. So hang in there, tomarrow I'll hop right into recovery with you! We can keep eachother honest.

My starting weight was 235 lbs and I'm trying to get to 130 lbs.

        1st mini goal: 145! met 12/09
        2nd mini goal: 140!
        3rd mini goal:135!
        4th mini goal: 130!

I drink coffee. I drink when I am thirsty. I am just a low carber. Not on Atkins at all!!! He has everything to do with my weightloss and nothing to do with it, depending on who you ask.

I gave up smoking 23 years ago and it was WAY easier than giving up chocolate was!

Now I've done both - howzat?!?!?!?!

              Goodnight.

                1,942 calories
                72% fat
                27% protein

I just realised: I am not on a diet anymore, this is just the way I eat now.

I cannot imagine eating high sugar stuff or wheat anymore.

I like to use these jeans as they will not close, and I hope one day they will close easily, then I will know the diet is working!

                            I have measured myself.

After 5 weeks on zc/ vvlc my measurements are exactly the same, and my weight is exactly the same, and I still cannot close the jeans.

Okay, when I was larger the pounds came off and I was still wearing the same size for ages! It took me something like 35 pounds to go from a 20 to an 18. I had smaller goals, like to not hang over the top of something buttonable. heh. Hang in there! Did you check out any of the stall threads? Stallbusters United - Atkins Diet You might check this one out, its a little older but you might get some ideas.

                                Hi Rita

The stall advice isn't really directed at me since I am not doing Atkins by the book but tweaking it down to 80% fat and 25% protein and less than 5% carbs.

The major stallers don't apply to me -i.e. caffeine, sweeteners, etc.

I'm just going to stick with it and see what happens...

I spoke on the phone to Sean Croxton, but all he really did was throw a sales pitch at me to try to get me to pay $600 for blood tests.
