  • I'm a working Woman! OT

Now that I think about it the last two and a half years that I have been unemployed but hey I've worked pretty hard. I decided after the DH got himself a new 60 inch TV and another motorcycle engine for the Pulse that well to be honest we needed me working so he can keep the life he is accustomed to. You know Champagne taste beer budget...Well anyway as most of you know I was a manager for a high school cafeteria for almost a decade and decided I hated being top dog when I had jerk off employees. I quit after my blood pressure went into the stroke zone and I had a supervisor ( about 23 year old college educated never worked a kitchen in her life) trying to write me up before I left to the hospital. So I went to the local school district and got me a job so what if it pays $7.19 an hour and only 25 hours a week. Yep there are special perks though. I get to wear a real sexy hairnet and I don't work nights, holidays, weekends or summers and I get paid to take kids lunch money. Now where else can you hang out with all those young male athletic boys and not get in trouble? I am looking forward to going to work April 18,2005 and then getting my summer off May 27-August ? HaHa! The pay Sucks but the perks are the best! I also am adding to my Teachers Retirement Fund because we don't pay into the Social Security ( it won't be there for me anyway!) But the best reward is what I am going to do after I pay off DH's toy debt. There is a really sharp Kawasaki 650 that is just what I always wanted. Oh yea nothing like horsepower between my thighs. And after I pay for the bike I am planning on a road trip to Florida I never been to Disney World and I always wanted to go. So you know I'll want to be looking good on my own bike...I don't like anyone else in control.

    Lunch Lady!

I think it is awesome that you are planning a road trip. I would never have the nerve to do that. AWESOME!

      Cool..

I do not teach a study hall, so I have lunch duty. You are way more excited than I to be there everyday. By biggest joy is having my class do lunch detention cleaning tables when they have gum in their mouth during class. Other than that, have fun with the job. I always hear the lunch ladies laughing back there..........makes me wonder, but... :wave

In order to get to Florida, you have to pass through south Georgia.............Hint! Hint!

Diva, how fun! Good for you, for finding a job with perks. Now about that road trip. You aren't going alone are you? You are one brave lady. I haven't been on a bike since I crashed into a tree when I was 18. My coordination doesn't include figuring out the difference between the gas, and the brake!

Have a great time at your new job. Keep us up to date.

Ah yes, visualize along with me, Diva in a black leather halter top, chaps and helmet, cruising along the Texas highways with some serious horse power strapped between her legs. Gives me chills just to think about it. Papa: What does it do to your libido?

Are we going to need a picture of you in that sexy hairnet, flirting with high school boys for our album? Now remember Diva, 16 will get you 30! Congrats on the new job.

Congratulations, Diva, on finding yourself a job. It has to be better than Jason's Deli, right??? Besides, where else can you get summers off? That's a really nice perk! The roadtrip sounds like a great time, but if your DH is going along, better skip the Georgia sights! LOL You might drop in on Dawn in Florida and meet her 4 boys and maybe her new little girl when you go. I have a feeling that if the lunch ladies in the school where you are going to work don't laugh a lot now, they soon will be laughing their behinds off once you get there. I have no doubt that it won't be long before you are running the place. Good luck!

Ya know, the thing my son likes best about his new school is the CAFETERIA. He thinks it's really neat to go in and buy lunch and have it served on a tray. So folks like YOU are his new heros. :nod :nod

Congrats on the new job!!! I bet you keep those young'ns on their toes.
