      Good Morning Sham, I can't tell you enough how nice it is to see you back. I had intended on replying to your PM's when you told me you were back and then I got the flu.
      I'm recovering now. That flu was a bad bug for sure.

          Good morning ladies! Party time sounds like fun, Sham! Today I'm going out to lunch with a friend I haven't seen since before Easter. We're going to a local steakhouse so no angst about menu choices there. I have a bunch of errands to do too and here I sit posting/reading on ADBB. LOL Well, I can always do the errands AFTER lunch. Hey, maybe that IS a good idea...burn some of those lunch calories. Actually, I probably just need to get my butt in gear.

              Happy Monday. I'm proud of myself for resisting the pizza and cookies they had for lunch here at work. I had a chicken salad instead. And because of upcoming Halloween, there's alot of chocolate around the office too. This WOE and not being overly hungry makes it 100x easier to resist these things.
              Start date: 2/22/04 347/222/135 ~ 5'2"
              STAC Restart: 1/05/09
              306/229/135 ~ 5'2" 77 lbs down!

              Goal #1: 247 - 2nd 10% (59lbs, 247, also 100 lbs total loss) - Met 1/4/10!!!
              Goal #2: 241 - Halfway to goal! (106 lbs lost) - Met 2/21/10!!!

              Goal #3: 222 - 3rd 10% - Lowest Atkins weight
              Goal #4: 210 - Still on track!
              Goal #5: 200/199 - 4th 10% - One-derland! End year goal!
              Female/Hypothyroidism/Arthritis/Fibromyalgia - If I can lose weight on this, so can you!

                    It's been a long time. I keep slipping up on being actively involved here. (And a bit on this way of eating, sadly). Hope everyone is doing well! I'm back. For honest, for true. Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well Sherri.

                        Just stopping by to say a quick hello, only my 2nd post here in the CC. Having a good day, dropped a couple today and reached a new mini-goal after a pause over the last week or more. Woohoo!

                          Congrats on meeting your Mini-goal, AWG!!!!

                          I've finally sucked it up and am braving my first week in OWL. It's been okay so far, but I'm really not all that hungry and am having a tough time getting half of my carbs in. Oh well...if my belly keeps going away, it's all good.

                            Oh, I was a little nervous that OWL would slow down my weight loss, but I haven't really found that to be the case so far. No dramatic losses, but averaging 10 pounds a month so far (down, up, down, up, down, same, etc, but it manages to get there by month's end, LOL!), but I am having fun wandering around the rungs and trying some recipes from Linda's Low Carb website. Been trying to identify what slows me down, and so far have come up with excessive cheese/cream and too much salt. The last two times I have paused or gained for several days, I chugged extra water for the next few days and started dropping again. Glad I wasn't blaming the OWL foods too heavily for the pauses or I might have cut them out unnecessarily.

                            Just started with the berry rung very recently, halfway sort of skipped over the dairy rung due to the cheese/cream finding and will re-evaluate that more later. I had a tiny bit of blueberries (1/8 of a cup or so) a couple times so far and need to get to the store to get some strawberries and more blueberries. I am keeping my carbs at 30 or less most days and have no real interest in finding out my CCLL right now with this much weight left to lose. I'm fine at 30 or less for now, and hoping my CCLL will change over time anyway (upwards) with a little exercise and muscle-building.

                            A little plain canned pumpkin with some butter and pumpkin pie spices and a little stevia or splenda is a nice easy veggie I add to up my veggie carb intake without too much volume of food on days I'm not especially hungry.
