  • Can I join?

    Good Monday Morning Everyone!

I was wondering if I could join the Century Club?
I have over 200 lbs to lose and checking in here everyday would help hold me accountable.

    Let me introduce myself.

My name is Teresa. Most people call me Tea.
    I am a mother and a wife.
6 children all together, 4 boys and 2 girls, 1 son in law, and 1 beautiful grandson.
Have been married for 13 years.

This will be my second time around.
This will also be my last time.

I have started Induction as of this morning.
    The 1st step of many.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday.

    Hey Tea, welcome!

Congrats on re-starting and knowing it will be last time you will be going through induction!

Come join us at daily roll call and try to sign up for one or two November exercise challenges by this weekend! Set your own goals, whatever seems reasonable for where you are, and then chip away at them all month. It feels good to me to reach an exercise goal by the end of the month, since it's going to be a while before I reach my weight goal - but reaching the monthly exercise goal helps that along.

    Good luck on Induction!

        Re: Can I join?

There are many people here on the ADBB who understand the long term goals many of us here have. Many of us have turned to Atkins to change our lives, to become healthy, to restore active lifestyles and in general, to save ourselves from early deaths.

The pages of DANDR 2002 are tattered, but that is okay, because over the years here, I have referred to it often, read it as a reminder of how far I've come and remind myself that this is the way of living that restored so much of my life.

Bless you and your family. Best wishes. You have made a great choice and will find lots of support in this forum and throughout the ADBB Board.

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.

Hi and welcome! Checking in here, tracking food, reading the entire book and following it are the ways to get healthy! I'm learning more each day on this WOE, including figuring out why I failed in previous attempts (ahem, by not following the book and doing the right things).
