  • Another UNSUCCESSFUL Story! GRRRRRRRRRR

Well here i am.... I havent been on here since probably before christmas and thats all my fault. I had lost 36 lbs and felt great, got a job and ruined myself all in 4 and a half months. I hate myself so much that i have fallen in a major stage of depression. I have gained all of my weight back and im back into my fatest jeans. SOMEBODY SHOOT ME PLEASE!!?!?!?!??!?! Then i finally decide to get into couseling for her to make me feel worse than i did before i went there!! People are just downright rude anymore... no offense ADB people. i am back into induction but havent been successful yet because i cant get my fat A** to do anything! HELP

You sound like i used to - so what you need to do is
you need to get your butt in gear and decide what you want, you need to decide if you want to do atkins the right way and drink water and exercise or if you want to stay the way you are now- i can tell by your post that you are frusterated so you need to sit down and decide what it is that you want- obviously you want to lose weight or you wouldnt be here- you know atkins works cuz youve done it before so you need to get your A$$ in gear and start doing things the right way=the atkins way, set some mini goals right away and and celebrate as you reach earch one(not with food) --need help- 1st mni goal to be under 200 2nd one to be 180, etc, go in 10 or 20lb increments it can and does work..you can and will do this if you set your mind to it- no one can make that decsion except for you.. sop what do you say? are you gonna keep on thinking you cant do this and quit feeling sorry for yourself or are you going to say i can and will do this and show everyone and most importantly yourself that you can and will suceed!

      Hello Jillyfish,

I hear your frustration. I was doing really well but my weight loss was really slow. Then I started to cheat and now I am constantly falling off and climbing back on the wagon.

Do you remember how you felt when you were true to the Atkins way? I think we should both make a list of all the great benefits that this WOL gives us and then make a list of all the really negative aspects of eating High Carb. Maybe this would help us both to get off our A$$'s and get committed.

Today I am cheat free and I have been drinking my water. Dinner is on the grill. Tonight I walk the dogs, drink more water, and I can make it a cheat free day.

You know what you need to do, just do it.

Stefani said it! Decide and do it.

I did kind of the same thing.. I hit a major depression prior to starting Atkins. I thought on it, pondered, goofed around.. anything other than face it. Then one day it clicked. I am fat and every minute that goes by I am just staying fat. So, regardless if it is 1ounce or 1pound lost, it is one something less!!!

I take it day by day and just don't obsess on it. Which is very very hard. Even harder if you get depressed and into that cycle of thinking. But I also know if I obsess I will get trapped into that frustration of not losing this week or being up cause TOM or anything. Just day by day and hopefully it will lead me to my goal! It is a daily thing to remind myself of and when I feel that pity me coming on, I head to look at pictures in here to give me a good feeling back.

              Hi Jill,

Sorry you are having a tough time. The first thing you have to do is get your thinking straight. You have been given great advise here and you know what you need to do. But without the proper mindset, this is only words. Realize this is not a race, but a lifestyle. Adopt it and make it yours. It is the only way to succeed whatever program you choose. And you can always message me, too!
