  • CC ROLL CALL - Tuesday Dec 15th, 2009

Alright, where have all you CCers been for the last few days, LOL!

I tightened up my daily routines for the last several days (pointed out the other day I had gotten a little sloppy over the last few weeks since I had that respiratory infection with not keeping good tabs on things, not taking all my supplements, probably not drinking enough water, etc) and I can already tell I am starting to make some progress again. Good.

Things are pretty good, my house is still a wreck and Christmas guests from out of town will be here in just a few weeks... but I did finally get the kitchen desk fixed and a new (badly needed) coat of polyurethane on all the hardwoods. Maybe now I can actually get the rest of the house cleaned up and organized and finish the gift shopping and wrapping and get the danged tree up, which should have been up a week ago already, LOL!

    Have a good Tuesday everybody!
    I hope I do - it's my day off ;-)

Good morning, Our house is a bit of a wreck too. The wife and I have both been sick and we just haven't felt like cleaning. We are feeling better and managed to get a bit done this weekend. Still a lot to do though.

I've got to crack down and get more exercise. My primary exercise during the warmer months is riding my bike to work, when it gets cold I get lazy and try to make up the exercise in the gym. Problem is that I hate the gym. Last couple of work days I have managed to ride my bike to work, it's been hard for me dealing with the cold and wet, but I'm just going to have suck it up and keep riding because it's really the only thing I can be consistant with.

I'm with you, Grant, I really hate cold weather the older I get and find myself dreading dealing with cold and wet and wintery weather in general. Pretty to look at, but I don't really look forward to being out in it once it gets below about 40. Heat I can handle, and don't even fuss much until in the 90s.

I actually LIKE being at the gym once I am actually AT the gym, but over 20 years of adulthood and through numerous gym memberships, I have learned that once I get home, I hate changing clothes and leaving yet again to go out to the gym enough that I end up rarely doing it, though if I talk (force) myself into it, I actually enjoy it when I am there and often stay longer than I planned.

Still, I have learned that my desire to be at home usually wins out, and I end up going so rarely that it is not worth the membership fee. Currently, though, I have a NEW dilemma... a brand new (though really, really tiny) 24 hour gym has opened up RIGHT BESIDE where I work... now that might actually tempt me, LOL! I might not mind going in this case... which means it may lure me into paying monthly dues yet again ;-) It might actually be a nice way to wind down at the end of the day.

Only thing is, I always hated the big onslaught of folks at the gym right after New Years, so I'm thinking if I wait until mid February or so, it will die down a little. Although I wouldn't be going at prime time anyway, so maybe it wouldn't make any difference. And honestly, this gym is so small, it likely won't get any big onslaught of folks anyway, except maybe a bunch of my co-workers, LOL!

Re: CC ROLL CALL - Tuesday Dec 15th, 2009

HI, I have been away for about a year and a half and regret it with everything in me.
I have not lost any weight and feel worse than ever and know I have no choice but get back on plan and stick with it.
I k now I am chosing to get back on plan at a really bad time of year, but I am sick and tired of being sick and tired and realize if I do not do something soon I will start to really have health problems.
I am back on day one and determined to stick with it and not give up like I have always done. I have too much at stake this time health wise and I am so glad I have this wonderful board to come back to. I had not meant to stay completely away, but time flew by and it was july 2008 since I have been here.
I have a lot of catching up to do !! I am so glad to be back.
