Re: Never thought I would be here...

today ended on a good note. i ate the right food. although i didn't get in the full 100 oz of water, i did get in a whole lot, like 80, so i'm proud of myself. i didn't drink any ddp, which was great, i was really thinking about it earlier.

    today:

    chicken leg and thigh

    dill pickle

    beef fajita and cheese

    3 eggs, 3 bacon, 1c mushrooms, 1/2 oz cheese

so. obviously not perfect. I actually passed out in the afternoon when I was going to eat some celery, but i did what was necessary to keep on track and keep the carbs low (meaning i ate extra mushrooms. I did not pass out in order to avoid eating, i passed out to being tired from physical activity). Tomorrows' goal is to drink the full 100 oz of water and get in the veggies.

    good night!

      >>i found a no calorie, no ....lets say everything on the nutrition label was 0%, don't ask how, peanut butter>>

Nuts aren't allowed on Induction. And if it's really made out of peanut butter, it can't be 0 carbs.

      >> keep the carbs low.>>

Not really the goal of Induction. If you're passing out ... you're doing something wrong. Not enough food, not enough water, or not enough carbs.

      >>he full 100 oz of water>>

At 248 pounds, 1/2 your current body in ounces of water would be 124 ounces. I would aim for that!

      >> i picked up a chicken Caesar mix kit>>

      What's the list of ingredients?

i didn't eat the peanut butter, i just noticed it. and anything that has zero % on it has to be absolutely nasty and it looked horrendous.

i passed out from exhaustion due to strenuous activity actually, not to keep my carbs low. i meant i ate extra mushrooms than i planned with my dinner in order to keep my carbs low, not passing out.

Atkins is about commitment. You have to decide when to begin but know when you begin that you need to stay focused. Educate yourself. Read DANDR 2002. Find ways to make yourself accountable.

There will always be Christmas, Thanksgiving, birthdays, vacations, picnics, summertime parties. The point being, don't use "eat occasions" as an excuse. Sooner or later you have to figure out how to co-exist with social occasions without falling off the wagon. Emphasize the time with family and friends and don't make it all about food. You'll enjoy occasions more once you know how to handle your food intake without worrying whether you are going to fail.

One day I woke up and the light came on. I began to pretend that I was healthy and began living a healthy lifestyle ... eating, exercise, meditation, reading and participating on this board. For me, it was what I needed. And I'm happier for it.

          Best wishes.

ugh. last night sucked. i was feeling "icky" but I wasn't sure if I should eat or not, i didn't want to upset my stomach. since it was so late i just went to bed. i woke up with a massive headache....and then i pretty up had dry heaves, i was throwing up tummy mucus i think because it was clear...UGGHHH...but now i'm cooking breakfast and hopefully my tummy will accept it willingly.
