    Merry Christmas Eve/Happy Holidays -

    Hope everyone is doing well and staying on track in the midst of holiday treats and travels and whatnot.

    Finally dropped ONE BIG POUND after waiting for the last few weeks, LOL!

    Hey, whatever, I'll take it. Looking for 1 more to get to my mini-goal, then 2 more to get to the next 10 pound range. Wanting to get there keeps me from wanting to sample any of these treats sitting all around me at work and at home. I want to lose more than I want to eat a few treats.

    Ok, off to wrap a few gifts. Have a good one everybody!

    2nd - 285 - 10/19/09!
    3rd - 278 - 11/11/09!
    4rd - 271 (minus 80) -12/24/09!
    5th - 261 (minus 90, least since '90) - 4/28/10
    6th - 251 (minus 100 from high weight) -
    7th - 241 (minus 110)
    8th - 231 (minus 120)
    9th- 225 (college athletics weight, minus 126)
    FINAL GOAL - 215 (?) - (minus 136)

    Hello Everyone!
    I am excited to report that I have lost 14 pounds to date and have 11 more to go to make my first mini goal! I have been exercising like I said I would and I am drinking a lot of water but most of all avoiding the foods that are not going to keep my weight loss going!

    1/15/10 Mini goal: 299 for snow trip to Utah
    12/7/09 mini goal weight loss needed total: 25
    12/14/09: mini total needed as of today: 11.6
    Long term goal: lose 100 pounds
    second long term goal: get to size 14-12

      Finally! Dropped another couple pounds and hit my next mini-goal and actually went one pound past it. So glad I have passed up the cookies and treats I have come across the last however many days.

      Merry Christmas to me, I am now officially no longer "morbidly obese" per the BMI... not that I put a lot of stock into the BMI, at least for myself, mostly because I have an extremely large frame (per the athletics doc in college, I am on the far end of the range for frame size). When I get myself just barely into the "overweight" BMI range I think it is quite likely I will be very close to a healthy weight for me and close to a body fat percent that will score in the "athletic" range. I have a friend in sports medicine and will have her calculate my body fat percent for me when I start getting close to that so I can guage how much more I need to lose and what a good goal weight would be for me. My current goal weight listed below is just a guess based on what I weighed as a competitive athlete years ago and trying to adjust for changes in muscle mass since then. Hopefully I have more muscles hiding under this fat layer than I am aware of and may not have as far to go as I think - hey, it doesn't hurt to be hopeful, LOL!

      Anyway, Happy Holidays to all, and give yourself the gift of health.
