  • Staying focused

    Hi everybody,

I have been reading all your posts and now I suppose its my turn. My feet starting swelling a few weeks ago and then shortly afterwards it was my legs. Then the lower back pain and painful right hip,,,,My job is pretty stressfull and time consuming so I kept putting off seeing my doctor. I finally did and you should see the look on his face when I finally did go. Pure horror!!! I had gained 47lbs - A million blood tests after and I am - "healthy". But unless I stop the spiral that won't last too long. My bloodpressure in elevated (close to but not yet in the danger zone) and diabetes is just around the corner (father died in a diabetic coma)..so, here I am.....HELP

What do you need help with?

Are you reading Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002)?

      I agree with Atkinsgal08.

You have had a wake up call. Get control of your health co-morbidities before they take hold of you!

Atkins was the best thing I've ever done and the most important thing I've ever done for myself. No more insulin or other diabetic meds, no more hypertensive meds, no more mobility problems. It is a happier life. I had a chance to reverse my health problems and I'm so happy that I heard the wake up call loud and clear.

      You can do it too!

Read the book. No excuse not to ... you can find a DANDR 2002 in used book stores at a low cost. Figure out some exercise plan you can do just to begin moving. Plan your menus. Plan your menus for special occasions so you don't claim that you "had to cheat" because you had no other choice. You always have a choice. Get serious about it. But most importantly, don't wait until it is too late to reverse your health problems.

      Best wishes.

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.
