Hello all, hope you have enjoyed your holidays.
My family/friends/neighbors/co-workers are hopefully done with celebrating and piling off-plan foods all around everywhere I go, LOL!
It was good to see and visit with everyone though.
After some short-lived, mostly mindful wavering off plan, I got right back on the horse yesterday and will see how long it takes now to get things going again. No cravings, which is excellent, but gained a number of pounds of water weight (I assume water weight, as it is way out of proportion to anything I ate) with my off-plan choices. I'm okay with that, got any thoughts of non-acceptable foods out of my system and also discovered I really wasn't missing much not eating those things anyway. They were pretty good, but really weren't all THAT incredibly tasty - not nearly as good as I might have remembered some of them... and I didn't find myself wanting to go back for seconds and thirds on anything. No binging, just sampling normal size portions of several things I hadn't eaten for the past half year. In previous years, I would have considered how I've eaten over the past few weeks quite good for as many holiday celebrations and socializing as I have done.
I plan to keep the carb counts pretty low for the next however many weeks, near induction level, and maybe I will actually be at a loss again by the end of the month. We'll see. I was losing pretty slowly in December anyway, so this is an ideal time to try to jump start the losses again.
I think I made good progress the last half of '09 and am happy about that. I hope to do the same in '10. Maybe I'll even reach goal weight this year - or at least very near it.
Hope everyone is well, back on track if you went off, and having a good New Year's Day.
Happy 2010!
