  • HOWDY new here but not to LC

just wanted to say Hello to everyone and i am looking around checking the place out!! i have over 100 pounds to lose and hope i am posting in the right place

i am an almost 42 year old SAHM live in Ky (where we have had bone chilling cold for over a week) married for 21 years have 2 son 20 and 14 my DS20 is married so i am also a mother in law!
i am a member of Curves but haven't been there for over 6 months

guess i should get back in gear because i am still paying for it every month

    well anyways HOWDY!

You've gone where I will some day follow,
But for now you're out of sight,
Your years with me was time just borrowed,
Before you returned to heaven's light.
One day I'll see your paw-prints glowing,
    Sparkling in the morning dew,
Guiding me at my time of going,
Leading me sunwards, back to you. from a poem by
S L Smith for my beloved Spooky

    Hi and welcome!

I didn't see you introduce yourself in the "Spotlight To Introduce Yourself" area so I'll say hi to you here!

Make sure you read the book - it will give you the knowledge you need to get to your goal. If you can’t find a copy locally of the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) check online at www.half.com or www.amazon.com – I got a “used” copy recently for less than $5.00 including shipping about a month ago.

Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything in your home and you won’t be tempted to eat something not allowed. Eat only foods listed on the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What foods can be eaten on Induction?) make sure you eat a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs”. Check Linda's recipe site it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over --
    http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html.

Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), exercise and take a non-iron multivitamin daily. Look at the challenges to see if there is anything that interests you - start a journal, it's a great place to get everything out in the open, be accountable to yourself - you'll also meet some great people there! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...journal-chats/. There’s something for everyone here!

If you need anything we’re here to help you!!
    Carole

          Hi Deb!!
How far is Curves from your home??
Did you go at all? And if you did - did you enjoy it??
It's hard to get started once you quit, but if you get going again maybe you will be able to get a routine started back up, ya know?
