Now I've been on this WOE before but I don't remember being so flipping hungry all the time. I'm on day 2 of induction and I have been starving all day long. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to make it easier? I've drank almost 100oz of water already today and I can't think of anything else =(

Re: Hungry all the time...
I occasionally have a "hungry day" but it is fairly rare. When I do, I just keep stuffing myself with foods as low to zero carb as possible. Eventually you will get full, sleepy, and go to bed, and after a few days it will level out and be fine.
Just stick it out, it gets much better shortly.CHALLENGES: Walking - ? miles

Re: Hungry all the time...
You probably should post your menu in here so that the old-timers in here can make sure something isn't missing. Sometimes for me, its that I haven't had enough fat, or something like that.
But yeah, first day or two, I was hungry.

In the profile tab, at the bottom of the page, you have a link that says "Public Settings Page". Click on that... and then on "Make My Journal Public".Originally posted by Stephanie_M View PostUgh! I can't figure out how to get the public link to my fitday menu

Re: Hungry all the time...
Stephanie, at this phase, if you are hungry, drink a bit of water and have a bite to eat. When you are recording in FitDay, enter the items as raw whenever possible, since you and FitDay don't cook items the same way.
Also, your veggie intake is too low - 3.3g net carb today (assuming all fiber came from your veg) is quite low. I posted in my blog about 11-in-3 - how to get 11g net carb or more from Induction vegetables without going over 3 cups of veg total, which is in keeping with Rule 3 of Induction. Please take a look and make some adjustments to your veggie intake.

Re: Hungry all the time...
Hi Stephanie,
Here is a link that tells you what the carb counts are:
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/useful_files/CARB_COUNT.pdf
And here are the veggies you are allowed on Induction---Hope this helps.
Do you have the Book?---
Dr. Atkins in Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 ed.
Salad Vegetables
You can have two to three cups per day of:
alfalfa sprouts
daikon
mushrooms
arugula
endive
parsley
bok choy
escarole
peppers
celery
fennel
radicchio
chicory
jicama
radishes
chives
lettuce
romaine lettuce
cucumber
mache
sorrel
These salad vegetables are high in phytonutrients and provide a good source of fiber.
Other Vegetables
You can have one cup per day of these veggies if salad does not exceed two cups. The following vegetables are slightly higher in carbohydrate content than the salad vegetables:
artichoke
celery root
pumpkin
artichoke hearts
rhubarb
asparagus
chard
sauerkraut
bamboo shoots
collard greens
scallions
dandelion
snow peas
bean sprouts
dandelion greens
spaghetti squash
beet greens
eggplant
spinach
broccoli
hearts of palm
string or wax beans
broccoli rabe
kale
summer squash
brussels
kohlrabi
tomato
bean sprouts
leeks
turnips
cabbage
okra
water chestnuts
cauliflower
onion
zucchini
If a vegetable, such as spinach or tomato, cooks down significantly, it must be measured raw so as not to underestimate its carb count.259/206/149
