    I was on the diet for 2 weeks and lost 7 pounds. The next week, I had gained 5 pounds. No cheating, but I was eating too much salt. Watch the salt and drink the water and it will come back off. Teh extra five pounds fell off in three days and I have lost more since then. Look long term!

      I'd try ditching processed foods for a week and see what happens. I see a lot of dressings, cheeses and the like. You might be more sensitive to these things.

      No matter what, hang in there! You're your best asset, and in the end, it's kind of fun trying different things to see what sticks!

        I would not change anything in your menu over one pound! Your menu is fine, continue on & see what happens over the longer term.

          Thanks for all your pointers, I really appreciate it! Well this morning I woke up and jumped on the scale and what do you know, I'm down 2 pounds from the gain, 1 pound down from where I should be so it must have been just some water retention or something. I feel better now and now I have all of these helpful pointers to use if I have any more problems. Thank you all for your helpful support!

            Hey Sarah,

            You have learned a great lesson, don't become too attached to the Scale.

            If you must get on it every day as some people need to, just tell yourself that the daily weights are just steps in the road, up hill, downhill and your next "official weigh in day" is just that...YOUR OFFICIAL WEIGH IN DAY.

              I was weighing daily, got fed up with the fluctuations. So I got my roommate to hide the scale. Now I don't get it back till the 29th which will be 3 and 1/2 weeks on induction.
