So I mentioned in previous posts that I just had a baby in November via c section that went terribly wrong afterwards. The incision in my lower abdomen is still wide open. I went to my Dr yesterday for a wound check and got the bad news... It may be another MONTH until it's completely healed. Until then I have to stay restricted... which means no working out or lifting anything heavier than my DD. I'm so depressed. How am I going to loose all this weight without exercising?! I'm doing good now but soon I know I will stall because of lack of physical activity... I want to cry...

Re: So disapponted... =(
*Hugs* I totally understand where you are right now. After a complicated hysterectomy, I was restricted for 2 months...then six months...then a year and yet another year after that due to tearing stitches I didn't even know were there. The good news is that you *will* heal. In the meantime, enjoy your little one and let your body do its thing. Just a few more weeks and then you'll be able to get rocking and rolling.

It's quite possible.
You can also do some things that don't require lifting.
Can you walk?
There's things you can do while sitting in a chair, too.J.

I was going to say the same as Atkinsgal...Walk...Take your DD to the mall and walk walk walk...I presume that is ok for you, right? If not, don't stress out...You need to make sure your body heals first then there will be NO stopping you...Good luck.F44yrs young 5'7" SW172/CW152/GW140

Re: So disapponted... =(
I hope things are ok!
My first year on Atkins, I lost 60 lbs without exercising much (bad me, no real good excuse other than fibromyalgia but I could have done SOMETHING).
If you can walk, I think that would work!
Just be sure to make it a priority to eat right and let your body heal 100%.
Hope you get better soon!Start date: 2/22/04 347/222/135 ~ 5'2"
STAC Restart: 1/05/09
306/229/135 ~ 5'2" 77 lbs down!

Goal #2: 241 - Halfway to goal! (106 lbs lost) - Met 2/21/10!!!

And just for the record, you can get a stall regardless of whether you are doing everything right or not, exercising or not, etc. You need to prepare yourself mentally for that possibility and remind yourself it is temporary so if and when it occurs, you don't freak out and go off to console yourself in a bowl of mac and cheese!
I got stuck weight-wise for several weeks more than once. It ain't the end of the world. Just keep on with it and it will start up again shortly. Still annoying, but you can't let it get the best of you if it happens.CHALLENGES: Walking - ? miles
